:tink: I love getting pictures with Characters. Thats just what I do. LOL.
But, lately I feel stupid doing it. I feel like I'm too old and I look like a fool.
I'm a teenager, but its hard when all you see are like little kids doing it.
And I've never gotten a picture with a character before that was out of fuzzy suit. Do you know what I mean? Like no pics with Princesses or "real" characters before. But, I'd like to have a pic with Peter Pan because I love him.
But, I feel even stupider going up to "real" characters.
Any advice?
Thank You.
And are there any really good spots that you know of to spot Dopey or one of the seven dwarfs (sp?) because as much as I've been going to WDW I have never seen them, except in the parade.

Just so you'll know what to call them, the "real" characters (no fuzz) are called "Face Characters."

And there are PLENTY of teens and adults who love to meet them.

Don't feel silly. All ages of folks get pics taken with characters. Go up and have fun with the characters. Most really enjoy it when you engage them in a converstation! Even characters that can't speak you can have fun with. I had a whole conversation without words on his part with Gepetto one day in Italy! We were chatting about Pinocchio and how he was in Saturday school because he had missed so much time!

I had searched long and hard for Dopey, and finally three weeks ago we found him in the late afternoon meet & greets at the Big Hat in MGM. They have added some Villians which had not been seen there for some time as well as some un-Villians. That day in particular we saw Snow White with Dopey! The times are around 4pm and 5pm (not on the hour, but you can ask a CM and they will tell you!)

Pish posh.. I'm 19 and I'm so excited about my upcoming trip.. I will be HUNTING down characters.. I want a thimble from Peter, too! Haha.

i get my picture taken with all kinds of characters and i am definitely older than a teenager. we saw peter pan this last trip and had our picture taken with him. he was fun...

Honey I am almost 27 years old and I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to characters!!! I can't get enough.....next trip we are doing 3 character meals....breakfast at Cape May, dinner at Garden Grill, and dinner at Liberty Tree!

Age is just a number and you are only as old as you feel.....get in pics with characters if that's what you like!

No worry, I'll be getting my pic with as many charactors as possible, and I'll even let the DW in a few with me, LOL, but we always get pics thoughout the parks and meals. We even do character breakfasts without the grandkids and really enjoy 'Ohana's charactor breakfast .

I am 27 and DH is 31. No kids. On our April trip we took all kinds of pictures with the characters and it was so much fun. I even got autographs!!!

My dad is 45 and likes to meet the characters, face characters expecially he like to carry on conversations with them(if there's not a line).
I'm 20 and I run as soon as I see one that I haven't met before or have to see again. I'm sorry if I've ever run into anyone. I saw Clarice in MGM and I think i ran into 4 people, afraid that she might leave before I could get there, and sure enough she did.

Now, thats enthusiasm. I like it. :sunny:

I'm 36 and while DD9 likes the characters, I'm nutty for them! I also just took my 1st adults-only trip with an old friend who's a little older than me. She did NOT want to deal with the characters..... until we got there and she got a couple of pics.... then she started noticing when she saw her favorite characters and asking to go stand in line! :)

Trust me, watch the lines long enough and you'll see a lot of us un-children waiting for characters - on birthdays and un-birthdays. <grin>

I waited on line four years ago (I was 36) with a bunch of kids no older than 7 to meet Peter Pan and was just as thrilled as they were (probably more); Disney World is where this is not "odd"; no one judges you; you can be a kid at any age!

It's tradition on every trip for my sister and I to have our picture taken with Goofy. In the first picture we were 7 and 9. On this trip we will be 36 and 38 and we plan to hunt down Goofy yet again. Go for it and have FUN! That's what Disney is all about :)

Never too old! I'm 28 and you would think I was 5 by how excited I get when I see the characters. We were there in May and I got my picture taken many times. The characters never seemed to mind - face characters or otherwise.

On a different note, those adults who love the characters - which have been your favorite character meals? Trying to pick some for my trip in March! Watch out characters, here I come! :rotfl:

My DH and I get our pictures taken with the characters all the time. I don't care if people think we're too old for it; Disney is for all ages.

I've only been to a couple character meals, but I really like Cape May's and Chef Mickey's.

Hey, DisneyGirlie, 62 here and still enjoying the characters. I enjoy them in the parks, character meals, wherever. Don't be bashful.

And welcome to the DIS.
