We were just driving back from my dad taking me and my 2 brothers to the season-opening game for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team. We were still in the area, in downtown Tampa and we stopped at a traffic light. While we were waiting at the light, I noticed a man walking down the sidewalk. He was obviously coming from the game as well (he was wearing a flashing pendant that was given out at the game), but he was obviously in trouble. He was limping horribly and painfully, and every several steps he would double over or support himself on some tree or something. He looked like he was in really bad shape. I pointed him out to my dad, but then the light turned green and we had to drive on. I feel so bad for leaving him out there like that. I hope somebody stopped to help him and that he wasn't badly hurt, but I feel terrible just the same. I couldn't stop thinking about him all the way home. I know in my head that he could have been faking to try and trap someone, but it just didn't seem like it. So anyway, I feel like such a terrible person for leaving him like that, even though I didn't have a choice.
What would you have done?
