I feel like a reject today

Am I the only one that has NOTHING to do today. NO wonders I hate holidays no matter what one it is.

Well we did have plans but they were nixed do to my DH having some virus that is going around, so now we are stuck at home.

I'm not doing anything today either except for some tasks around the house. DH is working today and tomorrow, so just another quiet night (minus the fireworks being set off by the neighborhood kids )

I'm doing nothing today either. DH has to work, and even though he gets off at 5, this dumb town decided to move it's fireworks show to Saturday night...when he has to work late.

The only thing that makes me kind of okay with it is that he is getting paid time and a half today.

It still sucks, though.

We have plans to go see fireworks tonight, but that is it.

Our excitement for today...
My 6ys ds got a sliver in his foot, crying too much for us to take it all out.

My dh and dd are out driving right now. She will be 18 in Nov. and all of sudden feels an urgency to get her license.

Same here. Nothing happening. No one coming over. I also tend to hate holidays, as I see them as days where you are stuck at home with nothing to do, and lose a day's pay (I am self-employed). Yawn. Just clean my room today, I guess.

Hi Gail T I live in So. NH and nothing going on. DS is with his mother, brother and SiL are in CT. visiting her parents and I just got out of work and did some work in my garden laid out for awhile and now I'm on the boards. I know what you mean about holidays, New Years was the same and Thanksgiving, Christmas I at least had my son.

I'm trying to just have chill time with my DH I hardly ever get to see awake. We both have to work tonight so while everybody is enjoying fireworks I'll be caring for pts. and passing pills.

I'm also not doing anything today. My fiance and I are moving into our house tomorrow, so we decided to take it easy today. He should be here in a little bit to keep me company!

I agree that you're not a reject at all! I was originally planning on just doing a little antiquing by myself until DH decided he wanted to go to the horse track so I'll tag along. But I just take off on my own when I get the urge since DH is out of town so much and DS often has his own thing going. And I was planning to treat myself to an ice cream cone if I went off alone. Ice cream is always a nice way to celebrate.

Gail, I have nothing to do, either. DH is at work until nine. And in this crappy excuse for a city, with a population of about 200,000, they have one fireworks show. You have to get their early (like noon) or you wor't make it into the park. And it has been pouring all day, so it's probably rained out anyway.

So I am DISing, and trying to clean up a little!

You are not alone. Nothing much going on here. Did a little shopping at Wally World this a.m. Put some dinner in the crock pot and took a nap.
DH doesn't get off work until 8:30 so, we will probably just be chillin' in front of the tv the rest of the evening.

We never really have big doin's on the holidays either. My family kind of scattered when my Mom died in 1991, Dh's family works together all the time so they don't socialize. We went to a movie earlier, will probably fix a nice dinner tonight and listen to the rest of the Harry Potter tape. Diana

I slept until 12 and then have been sitting here the rest of the day... i have to go work at the hospital tonight.. but other than that i have nothing to do.

Ds has watched the Disney World Planning video 3 times in a row so far... too bad we are headed to disneyland .... he doesnt know much of a difference
