My oldest dd25 is at the ER right now and I'm stuck home with dd5 and a baby I babysit for who is 16 mos. She didn't want me to take the kids to the ER so she DROVE HERSELF. She has a heart condition and has been having neck/back/chest pains, sweating, naseau, shaking, lightheadedness, etc. since yesterday afternoon. These are symptoms of her condition but also symptons of a heart attack so we never know what's happening. Her Cardiologist is a 2 hour drive away and he told her to go to the local heart hospital. Dh will get home from work around 3 and I can go then but in the meantime I feel like a loser mom.

 Oh....please don't feel like that! You are not a bad mother. It's not your fault.
An ER is no place for 2 little ones. Besides the ER probably wouldn't even let you into the treatment room with the kids anyway. Your DD knows you can't be there right now.

Prayers said that all will be well.

You're not a bad mom AT ALL. You'll get there when you can; I'm sure she will keep you posted on how she's doing. Good Luck and hope all is well!

Stop beating yourself up. If you were a bad mom you would not be so concerned about your daughter right now. Just be glad that she made it there okay and hopefully it is not anything serious or new for her.

I will keep you in my prayers she is feeling better soon.

She sent me a text - she's in a room with an IV and they've done bloodwork. Hasn't had an EKG or any other testing yet.

My cousin went down there but they won't let her in - said they will check to see if she's allowed to have visitors so I know they wouldn't have let the kids in even if I was there.

:hug:Hugs and Prayers.
Just the fact that you are sooo concerned shows your a GREAT Mom.
My kids range in age from 24 to 2 and 3, sometimes I just can't be there for the older ones too.
I know how you feel. It is really hard sometimes.
I hope your Daughter is okay...

:grouphug: You are not a bad mom! Like the others said, they would not have let you in the ER with the two little ones. Your DD knows you'll be there asap. Hugs to you guys - hope she's ok.

You are not a bad Mom. Please let us know how your daughter is doing. In the meantime you she will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Please don't feel like you are a bad mom, you are not ... hang in there. Hope that your daughter is feeling better soon.

You are definitely not a bad mom you are an excellent mom - you want to be there with her obviously and you are worried and anxious right now. I'm glad she got to the hospital safely and I'm sure you will be at her side as soon as you can. Meanwhile know that you are both in my prayers. Please update us on how she is doing.
Hugs, Karen

She spent about 4.5 hours in the ER and then was released with a pain killer and an antibiotic (for an ear infection she's been battling for the past 3 weeks). She will be making the 2 hour trip to the Cardiologist on Monday.

Glad she's was well enough to go home from ER. Hope everything goes well at cardiologist
Hugs, Karen

Thank you for the update. Best wishes that all goes well on Monday.
Please let us know how she makes out.
