I got a mailing from my TA today, expecting my DME tags because I leave in 10 days. Instead I got duplicate documents and duplicate blue Tinkerbell luggage tags rather than DME bags. I called my TA (actually, my mother-in-law's TA, but that's a whole other issue) and she was comletely clueless. She started telling me she didn't understand the DME system at all, and was especially quizzical about why you can fly into MCO on any airline and have your luggage handled but need to be on a participating airline to have you luggage handled on your return trip. Anyway, all she did was give me the DME toll-free number (866-599-0951). I called and it rang for about 15 minutes. They answer the phone actually from their location at MCO. The friendly CM explained the printing problem we all know of by now, and told me he thought it was unlikely I'll get my DME tags before I leave. He told me not to worry, to find them after I land -- past security, look for the CMs in blue jackets and Mickey gloves carrying a clipboard. He told me to present my luggage claim tags to them and that CMs would pull my bags for me. He also said to mark each bag with something unique like a certain-color ribbonor something like that. The way things are going, it's going to be one colorful baggage carousel.
