First off, I apologize to everyone for letting them down. I had such a horrible time in Va. Beach with the inlaws, that I turned to *gasp* food (especially CHOCOLATE). :( :( Ok, that carried on home (horrible car trip = massive family argument and my FIL kicking me out of the family) and I've been eating ever since!

Now is the moment of truth. I will go and weigh in. Now, I have decided to NOT count the 116 from before vacation since that was flu induced (and probably dehydrated) so I will stick to the 118.4 that I was holding steady at before I got sick.... OK... I think I am going to be sick. I'll be right back...

120.6. :( I can't believe it. I hate it when I gain. :( :(

OK, so here goes... May 1st. July 3rd I leave for DISNEY! Yay! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Goal: 110 when I get on the plane!

I have to KILL the sugar beast. And the PB&J beast! Any suggestions for the sugar addiction?

Again, sorry I let you down (when I told you to stay away from the chocolate and then I ATE IT ALL!!!). :( I am back on track today but I will definitely need your help.

Thanks,
me

i find that i stick to my plan better when I do have some treats and don't feel deprived. So I have to find allowable treats! Do you like dark chocolate - it's better "diet-wise" then milk chocolate. How about a bag of snack sizes in the freezer for emergency! You obviously have great willpower to be down to 120! I made the WW chocolate ameretto cheesecake and it's pretty good, bake it and freeze slices? I have tried the HC ice cream sandwiches and they are very very yummy! Skinny cows?

otherwise I would say go cold turkey and be done with it!

whatever you make your plan - you can do it! we're here for you! Sorry your trip was such a bummer, but don't dwell on your chocolate consumption. Focus on the future!

I agree with ohmom when she said,
when I do have some treats and don't feel deprived.

You just hop right over to glo's post on ediets 50 worse diet mistakes and look at the one that says:
13. Being quick to judge

In this case, stop judging yourself as letting anyone down. Take a breath, and don't worry. The time to start is now, and any progress you make is to be celebrated. So you have a little more to lose. Don't panic. It will come in its own time.

Oh, and (((((HUGS))))) hun. I'm so sorry that Easter caused a lot of stress for you. Keep the faith!

Now would be a good time to tell you, Zakatak, that you were my inspiration just before I started posting on this board. I saw some before and after picts of you on another thread.

You are still my inspiration. It is disappointing when you turn to food in a time of crisis, but it happens. At least you are still motivated to keep trying.

I am more concerned with what a bad Easter you had than with your eating. I hope you are doing better now. Keep the faith and I hope things smooth over with your FIL.

You know the rules, Zak. Don't worry about what you did or did not eat yesterday or the day before or even five minutes ago. Just concern yourself with right now.

You have been so successful reaching your goal this is going to be a cinch for you. Just nip it in the bud right now.

You can do this, you know you can. In the first place you know most of those few pounds you gained were left with you by the bloat fairy (vicious, isn't he?) Get back on plan and the fluid will be gone soon.

Were you eating following Atkins way of eating when you lost your weight? I can't remember. Well, that will break your sugar addiction, that's for sure.

Go on induction for a week or two. You will lose what you gained and probably 2 or 3 more pounds to boot. Or just go back on WW if that was what you did, or whatever eating plan you followed.

You can do this, I know you can. You've come too far to allow someone who isn't even a blood relative throw a monkey wrench in the works. You're a WISHer and that, by definition, makes you a success

So get going sweetie. We're all right behind you. You can do this and we will help you.

Onward and downward my friend!

Oh and if you ever want to talk about being thrown out of the family? Call me, send me a pm or an email. I could tell you stories. We could swap stories, that's it! That could be fun :)

Day 1 was a SUCCESS! No sugar... YAY!! Shaky as hell, but I did it! AND I exercised my flabby arms! OUCH!..

B: Sugar Free Hot Chocolate
L: Plain Boca Burger with roasted red pepper
D: Vegie chili (low beans)...

Lots and lots of water!

Onto day 2! Now, how NOT to weigh myself until at least Monday.

Thanks for the support everyone! I most definitely needed it today!

Onward and downward... here we go!

Karen

i'm not trying to make enemies, really I'm not..............

but, I'm very very worried about you Zakatak! how many calories are you eating? Cocoa, veggie burger and veggie chili, anything else? Any fruit garnishing your plate? How about milk products? If you made your cocoa with water you basically didn't eat breakfast. Where is your energy coming from?

Shaky usually means not enough caloric intake. "Shaky as hell" means dangerously low.

You are too smart to starve yourself. If you need to PM or vent, please feel free to do so. Remember our motto is We Are Inspired to Stay Healthy. Emphisis on the Healthy. And that Healthy incorporates all aspects of our being. Please share with us if there is more to this.

You should be eating at least 1000 cal/day, or maybe a consultation with a nutritionist would be a good idea? Fruit and veggies are low in calories and necessary for good health.

Please please tell me you are taking vitamins!

As for the scale, I thought you were at goal? Didn't I read your goal was 120 a while back? Maybe I have a bad memory, which I do! Go by how you are feeling, not the numbers :)

Whoa... ok. Don't worry... I had a some fruit (oranges) as well as some nuts tonight as a snack.

I take 1000 mg Vit C, plus 500 Calcium a day. I don't do dairy (for ethical and health reasons), except for the hot chocolate ;) .

Thank you for being concerned, but I am ok... just adjusting my goal (can't I do that? :p ).

And, I had two bowls of veggie chili with soy protein, beans and corn...

No worries, ok?

Thanks,
me

No worries- I agree with not judging yourself. I realize from your menu you can't POSSIBLY be doing Atkins- but just the same I wanted to say that you can turn it around even after major "cheating" on whatever diet/way of eating you are doing. I also cheated with chocolate on Easter. It was a planned cheat- if I reached 30lbs lost by Easter and by gosh if I didn't lose exactly 30lbs by then! It was a massive goal for me that I didn't think I'd reach- but I had a good 2wks before that and made it. Had my chocolate and ofcourse I had a bad week after that. It started the chocolate cravings (which I gave in to but did it legally on Atkins with endulge atkins peanut butter cups LOL) and my weight was creeping up like .4 and .2lbs each day! The only thing that saved me when I ended up at the end of that week at the SAME weight as 8 days before- was measuring and seeing I lost 4.5 inches.
LOL
But.... (here comes the good part LOL) I'm doing great this week and have gone down a little more since then! You can turn it around also... just don't beat yourself up for making booboos. :)

ok, but please think about adding a multivitamin daily

of course you can change your goals!! 120 just sounds thin and I remember your pic from the photo album at that weight - you looked great! very very lean!!!:bounce: :bounce:

I will get off my high horse now:wave:

I admire your willpower to go back on plan 100%! That's the hardest for me after a "cheat". You should be proud!

Here's to another great day OP!

Thank you! I've tried alot of multivitamins and they all seem to make me sick. So, I settled on Calcium (Viactiv) and C.

Day two is starting well, and as I have a busy day I should be good (I have to take our snake into school for show and tell :p )! I actually managed NOT to weigh in this morning, and will try my hardest to wait until Monday. Then, I hope I am down to my original weight before the evil bunny came hopping around!

I was thinking of joining our workout club for the sole purpose that they have babysitting and it would give me a break from the kids for an hour or so while I work out! They have a pool there, so I could swim... use the weights... possibly cardio. During the summer, with the kids home, my fastest walk is, well, a bug hike crawl! lol... not exactly exercise. I thought about curves, but no baby room! That does NOT help me! lol

Well, thanks again for everyone's suggestions... I think I will move on over to the Journal board... and not take up too much space over here!

Thanks,
Karen
