As far as I can tell, there are four seperate categories (entertaining, which is what I entered, inspirational, cute, something else) and there can be a top cat and top dog by votes in each, AND the overall top votes for everything win, AND there are judges who pick some independant of the votes cast!

Me too, I entered the competition because I'm going through a competition entering phase, I think people refer to it as 'comping' and get really serious about it! There are some real cuties in that one though!
