I really dunno what to do... If I pre book a character meal, I`m thinking about booking a meal at Auberge de Cendrillon. Do we pay in advance? Can we tell them where we`d like to sit when booking over the phone? What time is the best time to book a meal there? When is it less crowded?

After reading several threads here, we would like to sit near the dancefloor. How can we make that happen?

If we book half board premium, can we use one of the vochers at this meal, do we still have to pay the difference? I think I read that this meal cost 55 euro and 1 premium vochers is 44 euro.

Can anybody recommend other character meals that worth booking while we`re there?

I feel a bit lost in this whole meal/ booking/ restaurant world..... :S

If it can help, we`re staying in SL from July 20th arriving at noon - July 24th leaving at around 6pm.

I'm pretty sure you just ring and reserve. No paying in advance or picking where you sit or anything like that.... Then if you change your mind you don't have to go!! :goodvibes

For a character meal I would recommend coming out of the parks for a lunch at Cafe Mickey (Book in advance would be my advice at this time of year!)... It's a bit quieter at lunchtime there and the food is lovely.

Sorry I cannot help more.

Yes, you just ring and reserve. The telephone number is in The Very Useful Info sticky. You pay at the restaurant so if you change your mind about going there is no problem, you can always cancel when you're there at City Hall, the restaurant itself or through the concierge at your hotel.

I think DISers who have been to Auberge say it's best to book for an early lunch, when you arrive you could always request a table near the dancefloor.

I've had character meals at Inventions (dinner only), Cafe Mickey, the Lucky Nugget and Sunday Brunch at The Steakhouse. They've all been good. :thumbsup2

Yeah, as the others have said, you just ring & reserve. I requested a table near the dance floor when I rang but they said I couldn't do that. I booked a table for 12 noon (when it opened) and when we got there (11.55 am), there were already 6 families ahead of us waiting outside the restaurant. I'm not sure whether the 'programme' will change when you're there but when we went in April, Cinderella was at the front of the restaurant (after you've passed through main doors but before you enter the restaurant itself) and you cld take pics with her etc etc... so, as we were 7th in line, by the time we got to see her and by the time we were actually sat at our table, it was nearly 12.30.

We were quite lucky with our table - wasn't right next to the dance floor but we cld still see them dance (they didn't do much dancing though - quick twirl and that was it lol - seemed like half a minute or so?!).

The only other character meal we've had (always!) was at Cafe Mickey.

The Lucky Nugget Saloon does character meals as well and I've heard it's quite good. I'll be going there on my next trip!

Just ring and book, no need to pay. Request a table when you get there. I'd recommend booking for 12 o clock and getting to the restaurant at least 5 mins before - there will be a queue outside and as previous poster said you will then need to wait to have a photo with Cinderella when they open the restaurant as 12. You definitely get more character interaction if you get there early, we've been twice and stayed 2 hours so have seen lots of people coming in and they don't see as much of the characters.
We've done the Steakhouse brunch, which I'd really recommend but its only on a Sunday, the Lucky Nugget, also good, Cafe Mickey, good fun, and Plaza Gardens which we didn't like but lots of people do.
I thought Half Board Premium was accepted at Auberge, but this is a new category and they didn't have it when we went. We had to use 2 HBplus vouchers. Sorry I don't have the brochure to look.
