I-Drive Closing This Week

For those who will be in the area, International Drive will be closed to north-bound traffic from the Beachline to some point north of the Convention Center (everyone seems sketchy on details), starting Wednesday, 1/11/06, thru Saturday. Traffic will be diverted to Universal Blvd., which will probably turn that road into a parking lot.

The Builders Show is in town, with 100,000-110,000 visitors. Largest convention in Orlando history. I'm curious how much of an effect this will have on attendance at the parks this weekend.

That has to be a big nightmare to drive thru I-DRIVE! That is good for the theme parks too! I compare it to the Bowl games that came to Orlando recently! Home Depot anyone?
