Hello all! I'm going to start with a quick introduction and then I'll get into the good stuff! FOOD!

My name is Grace. I recently was in Disney World for my Honeymoon! :bride:

I decided to go big with the Deluxe dining plan. Oh boy! Was that a LOT of food!popcorn::

We ate at many great places as well as a few duds, but I made sure to take A LOT of pictures!

So sit back and relax because there will be a lot of food porn coming your way!

Up first Rosie's All American Cafe (CS)

This is my first time trying Rosie's. If you don't know which place I'm talking about, lets go on a journey.
Close your eyes and pretend you're walking towards The Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster. Now, before you reach Beauty and The Beast, look to your left! Do you see all those tables and chairs? Well, you've found some of the most decent counter service food Hollywood Studios has to offer!

Okay, you can open your eyes now.

When I went on this journey to find food this day, I wanted BBQ. I was hungry, I was determined to find it. My hunger overpowered my cravings and so I settled on Chicken Nuggets.

Chicken Breast Nuggets (8 pieces)

IMG_2452 (2).JPG

While my Husband had 1/3 lb Angus Cheeseburger

IMG_2451 (3).JPG

These were some of the crispiest fries I have ever consumed on Disney Property. They were hot, salty, and crispy. The perfect combination. My chicken nuggets were your standard Disney chicken nuggets. They're good nothing really to write home about. The honey mustard left a lot to be desired. I chose to dip them in ketchup and bbq sauce!

My husband enjoyed his burger. It wasn't dry and it hit the spot.

While we were eating, some street performers came out and started doing a little diddy by the condiments. It was entertaining! I had never eaten in this part of the park before so I didn't even know they incorporated them into the food area!

As far as counter services go, I give Rosie's a solid 7/10

Great review. Congrats on your wedding

Love the title! I agree the deluxe plan is crazy in the amount of food. Following along :)

Hooray! I'll be following along for sure. Planning our 10 year anniversary trip (we also honeymooned in WDW) and are thinking about going deluxe!

Congratulations! Hope you had a wonderful honeymoon. Can't wait to hear more.

Thank you!

Thank you!

I don't think we will ever do it again, but I enjoyed getting to eat whatever I wanted! :thumbsup2

Deluxe is A LOT of work! I should have saved it for another trip because this was my husband's first trip in 20 years. We spent a lot of time and energy getting to all the restaurants because I didn't want to be late... Which meant cutting a lot of park time short, but it was a fun experience! :goodvibes

Cape May Cafe Dinner

We arrived to Disney two days before our package started which means no plans yet. We were staying with my grandparents, parents, and younger sister at an offsite rental before checking into The Wilderness Lodge. This means we didn't have any ADRs. Grandma offered to cook, but honestly...I was a stone throw away from Disney, I wanted Disney food!

We thought of restaurants to eat at that are close to Hollywood Studios. Being from Maryland we all decided a seafood buffet would hit the spot!

So, I was able to score an ADR for 7 at 7:30 the night before! (And good times for FP+ so winging it CAN be done if you decide where you want to go the night before!)

We arrived at the Beach Club an hour before our ADR and checked in. They told us it would be closer to our actual time before we were called, which we were fine with. It gave us time to relax in the lobby and admire all the Christmas decorations.

We were buzzed in just around 7:30 and were lead to a round table in the corner. It was a fantastic spot! Since we were in the corner, there was no one running past our table to get to the buffet.

I started off with...Fried clams strips, battered shrimp, and some snow crab legs.

IMG_2454 (2).JPG

The fried clams strips and battered shrimp were good! I liked the snow crabs legs, but they're so tedious to crack open and get the meat out. But dipped in butter, they were worth it. Lets be real, everything is better dipped in butter!

My next trip I got...clockwise starting at the top...
Mashed potatoes with gravy, herb-marinated salmon, more fried clams strips, chicken breast with mushroom sauce, and in the middle a piece of cornbread.

IMG_2456 (2).JPG

Let's start with the potatoes. YUM. Bad idea if you're trying to eat as much food as possible, but they were good!
The Herb-marinated salmon was THE BEST cooked salmon I personally have ever tasted. I'd go back just for that!
The clam strips were obviously good, because I loaded up on them again.
The chicken was tender and delicious. I love mushrooms, so I scooped up a bunch of them!
Lastly, the corn bread was good. Nothing too special about it, but it wasn't terrible!

I think during that trip I also got a bowl of Mac and Cheese for my sister and I to share...

IMG_2455 (2).JPG

We both dug in before I got to take a picture. I've heard good things about this stuff, and I found it to be only 'meh' I don't know how fresh the pot was though. It just wasn't anything special.

Last but not least, DESSERT!
I'm a big lover of all things sweets, so I hit that area hard.
Starting at the top and going clockwise...
Two cookies and cream cupcakes, because oreos are my weakness.
A Boston Cream Cake
A pistachio cheese cake
A chocolate peanut butter cupcake
and a red velvet cupcake.

IMG_2457 (2).JPG

They were ALL really good. Obviously, I started chowing down on them before I took a picture. I was pretty much stuffed at this point, but it wasn't going to stop me from finishing these suckers.

I let my husband try some of the peanut butter chocolate. He said it was comparable with his grandmother's which is really good! The most shockingly delicious thing on here was the pistachio cheese cake. It was so yummy!

Another thing to note: Our waitress kept up with our drinks and removing plates! She deserved every last bit of that 18% automatically tacked on for large parties!

The last time I ate at CMC was on my 21st birthday. I was at Epcot that day sampling all the alcohol beverages I could. By time I got to dinner I was tired and hot. I don't remember it being this good, and I'm so glad I gave it another shot!

Cape May Cafe gets a 9/10 from me this time! If I could only choose one buffet to go to, this one would be it.

Everyone in my party LOVED this place.

we are real picky about our seafood too being from Maine...but the steamed clams were so small that I didnt think ten of them could make one of ours...the crab legs were good...and clam strips ...I like the belly when I eat a fried clam...the food was pretty good besides that...you were spot on the desserts..people sometimes dont leave room for a little of that..WE DO...hahaha thanks for the review

Now you have me rethinking dinner at Cape May for our trip. It looks delicious! I'm just worried there wouldn't be enough grilled options. Loving your reviews so far! Subscribed :)

Great review of Cape May. Your review sounds amazing. We have never dined there as my husband hates the smell walking by the place! I may have to try it when my baby and I don't trip without Dad lol.

Yum! Looks good so far. Congratulations and I can't wait to hear more about your honeymoon!

I was worried about that too. But I think we'll do breakfasts/brunch and then late signature dinners. I can't imagine 3 sit downs a day!

:thumbsup2 I always left room for dessert on this trip!

I'm not really sure about the grilled options either, but I do know they had steamed options!

We used some of our credits on CS, which is a no-no. BUT at that point I didn't care because we had gotten our monies worth at most of the signature places! My biggest gripe was having to leave the parks and miss out on fun. If DH had been recently, I wouldn't have minded. But we were leaving to go to dinner and since it was January and the parks closed early. By time we were done eating, the parks were only open for another hour or so. We ended up heading back to the hotel most nights. Hindsight it wasn't so bad because we were waking up early to get to the parks early...so the getting to recoup at night was a blessing. I also learned to NOT be apart of the clean plate club so I could get a dessert and enjoy it! I enjoy Disney food, but we quickly realized that eating at fancy places every night was not our speed. One place the waiter placed the napkins in our lap and another kept organizing our tableware. It was odd, but amusing! They definitely make you feel high class at most of the signature places!!

Tokyo Dining

I was looking forward to eating here. I love sushi and this place offers great sushi.

The morning started off rough with checking into the hotel and running late getting to the park. We ended up eating a late breakfast (late for me is 9:45-10) because I was too hangry to wait until 12 for lunch.

I contemplated just canceling this meal...but since we were dining here as a party of 5, I would have been charge $50 just for skipping out. No Bueno.

I was not about to be giving that much money away!

So we decided to go ahead with the meal.

My sister had never been here before and it was one meal she did request, so I was more than happy to dine here once again.

We slowly made our way around the showcase and arrived just before noon.

We ascended the large stairs in front of the restaurant. After checking in, we were lead to our seats. SCORE! Window seat!
Our view...

IMG_2458 (2).JPG

Since we had just eaten 2 hours prior, we all decided to share a few things. We got two appetizers and two entrees. We (well, my mom paid) were paying OOP for this meal since there was no way we could have eaten an appetizer, entree, and dessert. This in no way effected our future plans as I had already booked one too many meals because I foresaw this happening. My mom has TiW card, so she did end up saving a few bucks!

I seem to have been too excited about our view that I forgot to take pictures of our appetizers.
We got:

Assorted Tempura - Shrimp, Chicken and Vegetables
and
Spicy Tempura Calamari - lightly fried calamari with spicy miso sauce

Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I have very high standards when it comes to calamari and these were pretty tasty! Not the best I've ever had, but VERY far from the worst.

For the two entrees we shared two sushi platters

Combination - Matsu - 2 tuna, 2 salmon, 2 shrimp, 2 spicy roll, yellow-tail, scallops, egg, eel with 2 pieces of Spicy Roll and 4 pieces of Rainbow Roll

IMG_2462 (2).JPG

Combination - Ume - tuna, salmon, shrimp and eel nigiri. 4 pieces of Sunshine Salmon Roll. 2 pieces each of California Roll, Spicy California Roll, Spicy Roll and Vegetable Roll

IMG_2463 (2).JPG

Everything was so fresh and delicious! If you're put off by the thought of eating raw fish, don't be! Its NOT fishy tasting at all. When I started eating sushi, I was put off by it. But I kept an open mind and now I eat it all the time. I'm not looking forward to the day when I'm pregnant and can't eat it anymore. /ramble over

If you like sushi or great service, I'd suggest making an ADR to Tokyo Dining.
I was very pleased with this visit and I give it a 9/10
(I enjoyed this sushi more than the sushi at California Grill)

Excited to hear about Flying Fish! That's where we are planning to have dinner for my birthday this year :)

Wow Tokyo Dining looks amazing! I love sushi and am glad to hear a review about this place. I am sure it's better than the spicy tuna roll at Katsura Grill.

Can't wait for the rest of your reviews. My husband and I are going to WDW for our 10th anniversary next year and so far I want to try all of the places you have reviewed.
