I don't think VMK Pass is any better.

EVERYONE get to the ROOM. YOU just get ZERO for it and TOLD TO EXIT!!!! Because the EVENT IS CLOSED!!!
Give us TELEPORTERS with stuff for closed events
OR Get Rid of VMK PASS
OR Stop Host EVENTS!!!
OR Please Come up with something better then we had and MUCH BETTER then we HAVE!!!

I actually think the new system is perfect. First come, first served. If you are in line too deep to get in before the room closes, get there sooner next time. I'm sure there will be many times I lament that system, since I rarely get home from work in time for a weeknight host room opening, but it's still fair and much less annoying than clicking for a half hour and still not getting in.

So get there sooner next time. How soon do you want us their if you only have a few seconds of a window to get in to line in a spot for you to even get in to the event? I too will have a getting home from work weeknight problem, but still only a few seconds is a very small amount of time to get into an event. and even if you get in you have no way to know how long the wait will take or if you will get anything!

Que sera. It's still somewhat a matter of luck. But at least now, the luck element comes and goes right away and you can get on with your evening. Why do so many people think that dragging out the luck factor over a longer period of time is better?

Because I never had to spend 2 hours just waiting around to get into a teleporter game. I do have other things to do. Something like Hula's Yard Sale or trading events, I did endure long waits. I do not see how it is better to wait 2 hours to get into a simple walk through the teleporter event. Especially since those types of games were relatively easy t get into for most people.

the reason the teleporter queues are so long right now is... mules (or secondary charachters, whatever you want to call them) - somne people, I am sure, are loading up with 8-10 mules and putting tem in the queue at the beginning, this way, you can try 1, 2, 3 mules before you pick a winner and then get them all prizes after that.

Plus, Hula's latest game was terrible, if you pick a wrong door, half of them put you back in the room and it took too long to exit the room, so her game slowed down

I have do wonder how many people can actually get more than two charachters on at a time. I know I can't. Two is my limit. and I have yet to find too many people that can open multiple windows to get more than two characters in the game. So if that is the case, how can people get 8 mules in at the very beginning? I'm sure there are a few people that can do this, but most of us don't have the computer capabilities to have more than two open. So IMO, people loading mules in in the beginning is probably not the problem.

All I know is that I used to be able to run all of my families characters through the teleporter events rather quickly, and now I have only enough time to run two of us, if I am lucky. So now my kids have to fight over the prizes that we do get. VMK pass simply does not work for rooms like this.

moinkey, my computer is 2 years old and I can successfully load up to 5 charachters... I also have a laptop connected to the same network and can get another 3 or 4 charachters running on that. it slows the network way down, but I can still do it. Just think about this:

if 10 people load 10 charachters, thats 100 in teh queue. I am sure there are more than 10 people doing this though. Even is there are "not many" -- what is not many? 50? (500 spots in the queue)

I have not yet figured out how to get more than one window open so as far as getting mules in, I have no experience with that.

I do disagree with "you only have a few seconds of a window to get in to line in a spot for you to even get in to the event?" I wasn't even home when the last event started last night. As I posted elsewhere I got in line around 45 min after the event started. I was 600+ in line and made it in the room with 30 minutes to spare. I also was able to get a lot done while I was in line.

It seems a lot of people here have problems with VMK crashing on them and I don't know how much of that is VMK's fault. I have hardly had any crashes or DC's, and never while in line for a host event that I can recall. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe it's my computer, maybe it's my Internet, I don't know.

Just a few comments. A big misconception people seem to have is that this is a fast pass. It is called VMK pass - I have dubbed it the VMK slow pass...much more appropriate name. I think a normal length event if you have two computers and four people in the family you all might have a shot at playing the event. Depending on the luck factor of the game - you might get a prize. I think fairness of the line is not a question; it is not any more or less fair. Rather it reduces the luck factor on getting in line (not position). True if you hit it early you get in and get it over with quicker and in theory more "family members" could try. I don't think in the beginning lines of 600 are not unreasonable to expect. The horror of the Halloween maze event of old was lines of 700 and dc existed. For the large part DC is dead and they now give you the option to play games or hang out while you wait. Playing games does run a risk of crash. Also seems more likely to boot you from the game with the pass.

The true test of this new system will be an event like Hula's Yard sale - On a Saturday. I have never been successful at attending this event, so if I get in at all then this may be a better system. I do have things I don't like about it but so far as one player with one character they would especially be achieving their goal with this line if we all can get in line. It is true you may have to be in the game for the whole event to participate. No more showing up a half hour before the event is over. As it stands now, at that point you are in the red zone…as in unlikely to get in the room with most events. Each type of events the line moves differently so you have to figure out that cut off on your own right now. The two suggestions I have for the system areas follows: add a warning beep on the eminent entry to the room and either dumped the line when the events close or add a feature where if you are not likely to get in because of time or closure the queue number turns red or says room closed under it or anything like this to improving that issue.

As far as mules are concerned I don't think they are any more of a factor then they were before if they are actually being played. (some times they stand in the room and clog it up) I think that is why a sound warning on the Queue about to enter will not happen; it would make having multiple screens easier. Most decent computers can do two or three windows but managing them with this new pass becomes a lot more complicated. Maybe there is someone running a set up like in Charlie and the Chocolate factory with the golden tickets. They just have a mess of people lined up at computers for the event…I doubt it. I think it does reduce the number of prizes an individual can get and spreads prizes out to everyone a little more even. Unfortunately it will also mean some that used to get prizes no longer can. Either they miss the event in full or lose on the first few tries so they have no chance at a last shot. Some of these events will be worse then others and the ones that require more luck to win or come back later; I say the odds just went way down.

The real problem I am seeing in rooms that have an option to not leave, i.e. club33 or “hang with the host” (my nick name) and the ride-a-thon type rooms of past sometimes even in the pick a door rooms where the host has gone and now Blue Bayou as well. People go in and sit the whole time and never leave. Some even appear to not be present or if no staff they take it on them self to give people orders. Sometimes if you return to the room later and they have not moved. While this may be their privilege to do it certainly does not help the line situation when people lack the respect for the other players trying to get in. Many of those are in the room telling others to leave so others can get in – I find that a little moronic. Over all I am still trying this slow pass thing and don’t think it is all bad or needs to go, we will just need to adjust. I am still giving it a try I am 50/50 right now.

Really think everyone need to give it a while, its been what, three days? Just relax the lines may calm down a bit, just give it time.

I am not saying that there aren't people that do this, I am just saying that from everyone I have talked to, there aren't many that can, or do. As I said, I can only get two windows open at a time. But that may just be because I have not learned how. I have tried to open more than two windows, but it always shuts the first down. The only way I even get two open is to use IE for one, and Firefox for the other. I don't think my computer would handle more than two operating systems.

I agree that if there were a bunch of people doing this it would clog the rooms and the lines. Just don't think this is the main issue.

LOL, when you are complaining about mules in the game you are complaining about yourself.

I've waited a few days and through a few host events to post my opinion about VMK Pass. Yes, I love that while I am waiting in line I can do other things, to a point.

As many of you know, I am a big patron of host rooms. I've spent most of my VMK life doing the click, click, click thing. I get in the room, win or lose, and if I lose I go right back to click, click, click, get in line and do it all over again.

Well, VMK Pass has messed that up for me, big time! Last night, I clicked, clicked, clicked to get into the room when it first opened. Got in line about 27. Lost. Went to reenter the room and the queue was at 666. Now, given my belief system, I would not enter at that number and waitied until it changed. I think it was 662. I entered the host room again with 8 minutes to spare! It took almost the entire three hours to sit through that queue. I lost the second time.

And that's it. I'm out of luck. Two chances to get the rocker, that's all. I'm used to trying over and over and over and over and over, 15 times or more (or until my clicking hand says no more).

VMK Pass has ruined my ability to get extra of whatever the host item is for a particular month. I often gift these items to folks who cannot enter a host room to save their souls. I trade a few away, usually a "poor" trade from my perspective, but I don't go to the host rooms to make a profit. I do it because to me, it was a challenge.

Now, it's a nightmare. I will no longer be able to gift host only items to other players. I might not even get enough for me, my DH and DD9.

So, my suggestion is to allow VMK Pass AND to allow click, click, click. I would much rather take my chances on timing than to be reduced to only trying to win in a host room once or twice an event.

Either that, or I will be trading to acquire host items, or God help me, buy them on eBay.

I couldnt get vmk to load in time to jump right into the host game last night... I finally got in line aobut 20 minutes after the game opens at 637 people ahead of me... I played pirates, ghosts and talked with all my friends and made it into the host game with about 45 minutes to spare.. CL.Twirlergirl was in my same game and won (curse her!! lol joking) I was happy...

But then again I am not one for click click click forever to try and get into host games. If I dont make it at the get go, I more often than not dont even bother. I cant just sit and click click click click click click click.

Last night's game moved fairly fast... 6 in and out and a fast race game. I bet them got close to 800-1000 people through the line....

So after 400 have made it through, and you are stuck getting in line at 601, you were pretty much done for. Where as when you kept clicking, you still had a chance. THAT is my whole point.

At least give me clicking for the teleporter games! :sad2:

I didnt say I did it, I said I could. It is a waste of time for me because I cannot get on at the start of the game, so I dont bother.
And according to yavn, mine are not mules, because I PLAY all of my charachters on a regular basis

As I stated... I am NOT a clicker... I cant stand clicking and clicking and clicking with the off chance I might get in... cant do it , dont like it. So for me there was 'no chance' since I hate clicking so much. Now I click once, get my one shot at it and be done. All while making my credits and chatting with freinds.

I've waited a few days and through a few host events to post my opinion about VMK Pass. Yes, I love that while I am waiting in line I can do other things, to a point.
I have been doing line testing and ticket testing and basicly everything possible I am trying to see the effect and give this a chance. I found while click, click, click is not an option. Not taking the pass is an option, or you can split that down the middle and not take a pass for a while and come back and get a pass. I can tell you getting a pass and going to the store did not work LOL, If I turn off my computer hibernation, it might work if the line is 600 so this might actually open up some opportunities for me to leave the house. I was not a fan Of Click, click, click - but had worked it down to a science as you and some of my friends had. The principle remains the same get there early and hit the line hard... but now it is a matter of where you end up. I had times I clicked an hour and finally got in line and other times I clicked an hour and never got in. I used to never go, I will now probably always get in line, and maybe go or maybe not. I can say be carefull on the game playing, and avoid the music rooms if you crash often. Not trying to cause anyone to start muling if you haven't done it but this may be your option to get all of your family into the event, you may have to load several windows and all take different places in line. :rolleyes1 For testing purposes  I did try this and it is functional useage, not easy but functional.

Actually, I think to a point, it gives more people a chance to get in and play.

It doesn't give more of a chance of getting in and playing more times per person, like the other system did.

While I like being able to have more chances myself, I do think it's more fair to those that weren't quite so lucky in getting in before.

And, I believe that the queues of more than 600 is more of a representation of how many people actually try to get into these rooms. But, I'm also sure that there are some who will look at the numbers and say "forget it".

I still believe that they should have more host games since I can't believe that only 700 people out of 4000-5000 want in those rooms.
