I checked the room only rates for my stay at WL

Total before tax$ 1890.00
Total after 40% $ 1134.00

That's a difference on $756.00

I made my ressie and the total package is $3063.98
The total package on the webiste is $3526.51

That's a difference of $462.53

Does this sound right?

WL woods view w/ bunkbed 12-13 to 12-20
7 day park hoppers no water parks
Dining plan, regular
No insurance

Hi there! :)

Here's what I'm showing. I'm not sure if your son falls into the 3 - 9 year old category, or the 10 - 17 year old category - so I just used my figures based on the 3-9 year old. :)

When I plug in your dates and trip specs, I'm coming up with a package total of $4,112.48. Just to be sure, I've understood correctly, you wanted:

December 13 - 20, 2009
Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining
7 day Magic Your Way ticket with Park Hopper Option
Wilderness Lodge, Woods View Room with Bunk Beds
2 adults, 1 child

The 40% off applies only to the room portion - and the room only rate, pre-tax at the Wilderness Lodge that I can see is $2,330. 40% would be $932. Subtract those two figures, and I get $1,398. After taxes, I get about $1,570.

I get about $850 for your tickets, and about $637 for your dining.

Adding up those figures, I come up with $3,057 - which is pretty close to the total they gave you.

Hope that makes sense!! :)

Did you make sure you are comparing the exact same thing? So; same dining plan (instead of regular versus quick service), same type of tickets, same roomtype?

If so, call CRO and ask them to tell you how they made up this price. Ask for the nightly room rate before tax and after tax. Total of that for 7 nights. The price per ticket and total for that. Total price for dining plan.

You can do the math yourself first. Take the rack rate for the room, and take 40% off. Add tax and multiple by 7. That 'should' be the room total.
Look up the ticket price per person and add to the ticket total.
The dining plan you took and find out the dining package total.

This way you will immediately find out where the discrepency is. Sure sounds like there is one, as adding tickets and dining shouldn't reduce the discount on the room itself as long as you stick to the exact same parameters. As public discounts aren't out for december yet, it couldn't be explained away with you somehow getting a discounted package rate quoted online.

Use the phone number mentioned in the 40% discount flyer. Maybe I'm starting to loose my marbels, but the CM's working that part of the call center seem to be a bit more knowledgable AND just that bit more willing and enthousiastic to find the best rate and help out when things sound 'off'. Or at least, that is my experience.

I priced out your room for WL woodsview and bunk beds. The room rate with tax is $2621. It works out pre-tax to be $290.00 per night and then it goes up to $440.00 for 2 nights. That alone pre-tax is $2330 before the 40%. You did get the 40 %, but you are using the wrong original amount to calculate the cost. This is copied from Disneyworld.com

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort

Total: $2,621 †

Date Rate per Night
Sun, Dec 13 $ 290.00
Mon, Dec 14 $ 290.00
Tue, Dec 15 $ 290.00
Wed, Dec 16 $ 290.00
Thu, Dec 17 $ 290.00
Fri, Dec 18 $ 440.00
Sat, Dec 19 $ 440.00
