I don't mind the parking fee if get a space.....HRH?

I'm arriving Sat morning of Mem weekend, is there a chance there will be no parking available at HRH? If I have to drive over to park at PBR instead, that would be one time I'd want them to comp parking, sounds like a hassle. Is the parking problem over there more of an evening thing? Thanks.

You might get lucky in the morning as people check out and drive to other destinations. I would never leave in the evening, that's when spaces fill up at any hotel.

The PBH garage would be a good idea, it's just that no one else has tried it yet. But it's covered and there are many spaces available, so the chances of your car getting dinged are much less. Parking spaces at the PBH are larger, and you can park next to a concrete support and leave 5 feet of space on the other side. If it's only one time, you could try that, and take the shuttle bus back to the HRH.

Thanks, its only for one night, hopefully won't be a problem. It's not a weekend when I'd think many would be up and leaving early on a Sat, though. I've been able to park before but that was a slow weekend in Jan. Its not the worst thing to unload luggage and have them store (but we normally leave in the car until room open) and park at PBR but the $15 parking fee would annoy me if I have to go to that trouble.

We are going for a week in June. We are staying at HRH but plan on parking at PBH just to keep the car in a deck instead of outside in the heat. I dont think boating over to HRH once and then back to get the car is a big deal. We dont use our car at all the entire time we are there.

I have to HRH six times - seventh this year and have most always gotten a parking spot. Sometimes its a walk and sometimes its against the curb - happened in both parking lots. If there are no spots you can ask and they will usually valet for free. Worst time was last Dec when HRH lobby was rented out for a holiday party. But still found a spot. Have seen cars parked on the grass by front entrance - Great Lawn I believe its called - during Velvet Sessions.

We were there last weekend. There was a wedding and a prom. We couldn't find a spot we we parked illegally for a while and then later on my husband was able to move the car.

If you take the boat, you'll have to go to Citywalk first, then to the PBH. That's why I recommend the shuttle van that goes between the hotels. The walk from the HRH boat dock to the PBH boat dock is 8 minutes, so it's about 10 minutes from the HRH to the PBH parking garage.

Last weekend during the wedding that was being held at the HRH, there were no parking spots available. They did valet parking on our car, over at the Portofino Bay Hotel. The next morning when we needed our car to leave, no one could find it. It took forever for them to locate and retrieve our car from the PBH.
