I don't like the Wonder Pets

Here is the most irritating thing about Wonder Pets (to me, anyway):

When a call comes in for help and they all head to the boat, the Guinea Pig has an escape hatch in his cage, the chick has an escape also which is shown, but the turtle....well, somehow he exits his auqarium, goes into a drain, and then comes up in the sink. They don't actually show it, it's just implied. How? How is this possible? The aquarium isn't anywhere near the sink, & it does not have a pipe leading to the sink! Couldn't they have not been so lazy and actually created an escape hatch for the turtle which makes sense (as much sense as a cartoon about talking animals can)??

I don't know why this bothers me so much, but it just does. :rotfl2:

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:

Oh this made me laugh, I think the same thing! Everytime I see that opening, I question that part. I really thought I was probably the only person who ever did that!

I hate it so much. Would it be so much to ask that they weren't painfully off key? They actually make me cringe as badly as the rejects at the beginning of American Idol do. I know they are kids, but 1) there are actual kids that CAN sing on key out there and 2) they have computers to fix that.

lol. I always question the part with the turtle in the sink too. Guess we are just too smart for the Wonder Pets.
My grandson loves Wonder Pets, Max and Ruby, Wow Wow Wubsy, Dora, Diego, Nei Hai Kailan, Blue's Clues, and every other show on Noggin, I hate to even admit this but even Yo Gabba Gabba.
The one thing about Wonder Pets is that it seems to be written with a joke or inuendo for the adults. My favorite was when the baby dinosaur got caught between the cave and a big rock. Ming Ming said in her baby voice..."He's stuck between a rock and a hard place". Every show has some joke that just seems to make me giggle.
I know turtles love celery, and hamsters love celery but ducks don't eat celery. As someone else asked, why do they always eat celery after every save?

Oh I dislike Wonder Pets too, Max and Ruby, Maggie and the Beast aargh!!!

Don't get me started about Yo Gabba Gabba, DJ Lances arms freak me out. Where are the Looney Tunes? I'm well adjusted and I grew up watching the Roadrunner send Wyle E Coyote off a cliff regularly.

I mostly agree with you, but have you seen the one where they fly to Vegas and save the Rat Pack - Dino, Sammy & Blue Eyes? It's actually quite entertaining. The rats are wearing little tuxes with the ties undone and they sound pretty stinkin' authentic, considering they're, you know, cartoon rats. ;)

I think Yo Gabba Gabba would be cool if I did drugs.. who on earth came up with that show?

I like Wonder Pets! My son adores the show, and will break out with a smile when he does something good and tell me "This calls for some celery!" :thumbsup2

What I can't stand is Kai Lan! Have you LISTENED to that show? I swear, it's communist propaganda! I know sharing is good but once they were singing some little ditty about redistribution of wealth, er toys... and it just struck me wrong, so wrong!

I also LOATHE Calliou (is he the biggest whiner, ever!?) and Max and Ruby (do you just ever want to ask Ruby who made her the boss, anyway?!) And my personal "fingernails on a chalkboard" character voice goes to..... SPONGEBOB! Kill me now.... death by a million papercuts would be preferable.

 I like Yo Gabba Gabba! It's SO odd that I like it. And I posted on the Unusual Crushes thread that I have a thing for DJ Lance Rock! heehee

Oh lord... is this what I have to look forward to??:lmao:

Someone please tell me Sesame Street is still on!

I like the WonderPets. I even bought the bathtime WonderPets for our younger dd. I think Lennie is adorable!!

I don't like their little songs.

I don't like the way that Ming-Ming talks.

I don't like all the stupid plots.

There is nothing about that show that I like.

That is all.

I feel the same way about Spongebob;)

My 4 yr old adores the Wonder pets..I sometimes find myself just belting out the song when I am driving:laughing:

At my house, the Wonder Pets turns into an all day operetta incorporating whatever is happening in our day into Wonder Pets style songs sung by my husband and 9 year-old daughter complete with mispronunciations in the style of the duck.

Anything can be turned into a Wonder Pet song. If my 1 year-old daughter is unhappy you get: "The baby, the baby is cwying. She must be hungwee. She needs a bottle. This is seewious!"

Driving along and you you see a bunch of people with a disabled car on the side of the road: "The famwee (family), the famwee's in twuble. Their caaar is dead. We have to save them. This is seewious!"

You get the picture. My younger daughter thinks it's amusing. The first time or two it is kind of cute and funny. On hour or two later I am screaming at them to stop!

Lenny, Tuck, and Ming Ming too..
we're wonder pets and we'll help you!

:rotfl: I'd rather ride IASM ten million times in a row..

Ming-Ming? That sounds so revoltingly stereotypical.

This is sort of off topic but there was an episode of Arthur all about censorship. Like when someone swears on TV and they use that beeeeep thing. The whole show was people talking and beeping out their words when they "said a bad word." I about died.
