Am I the only one here who doesn't like them?

We heard about the turkey legs online and saw them on The Food Channel and decided to give them a try. We bought turkey legs at MGM, and didn't care for the taste. They were kind of dry, and they made us thirsty for a while, which is not a good thing when it's 100 degrees in August. They had kind of a "ham" taste to them. For the record, we love turkey at home.

Also, the turkey legs place (I forget what it's called) sold ONLY turkey and hot dogs. No fries or fruit or sides........Because I waited over 20 minutes for *just* the turkey legs, I wasn't about to get in another line for anything else. An all meat lunch just didn't settle well for me.

It sounds like most people like the turkey legs.

Oh no. I do not favor turkey legs at all. :rotfl: :rotfl: The smell makes me gag lol. Especially in the hot months that I was there. Turkey legs are like the signuature thing for me in Disney. You know you're in Disney when you see turkey legs!! The smell that wafts through the hot air just makes me sick. I dunno how anyone can eat that on a hot day and walk through the parks? :crazy2: lol. But, a lot of people really enjoy them, and that's great! It's just my opinion hehe.

on that note, I also felt I was the only one who didn't like turkey legs. All my friends enjoy them and think I'm crazy for not ever trying one. I'm guessing maybe it's not that extreme. I still won't try one tho lol

Add me to the list of people who don't like them. The first couple of bites were pretty good, but once you start getting further into the leg and trying to eat around those huge pieces of cartilage sticking up... :crazy2: It near turned me into a vegetarian. I was seriously sick to my stomach just looking at it.

You don't like the turkey legs! What's wrong w/ you people? :teeth: :teeth:

I don't like to admit this, but I love the turkey legs-my whole family does. I would die of embarrassment if someone took a picture of me eating one-but I have to admit I love them and its one of the cheapest meals in the Magic Kingdom.

By the way, I'm always tempted to break into a chorous of "Henry the Eighth I Am" when I am eating one!

Add me to the list of not liking the turkey legs. We tried them in December, they tasted like ham, not turkey. we were very disappointed

turkey legs make me feel sick but the rest of my family love them :confused3

I'm not a huge fan of the turkey legs either. I used to work in food at the Magic Kingdom and we would get to take home a turkey leg on Fridays and Saturdays for free. I would them then, but thats only cause it was free (half the time I would give it to one of my roommates). I will never pay the 5 or so dollars for them.

I'm with aunt kelly--what's not to love about turkey legs? The smokey flavor, the caveman instinct of gnawing at a bone, the chunks of meat... ;)
My DH and I love them. We really do. We have been known to search high and low through DCA looking for them. Of course, they totally disgust my vegetarian DD.
Munch munch munch.

I can get my husband to agree to yet ANOTHER WDW vacation is to promise him all the turkey legs he can eat :crazy2:

We shared one a year ago just because it was the disney thing to do. we never bought one since... it was hard to eat after you finish the meaty top layer, but after that it just go too hard to eat. rather have a moist turkey sandwich for the same price :)

Just looking at the turkey legs grosses me out but seeing someone bite into it and gnaw on it really puts me over the edge! :crazy2:

I tried on on my las trip in February because everyone raved about them and I have to tell you they did not agree with me.. had to rush back to the hotel
Maybe I just got a bad one who knows.... :(

I've always thought the turkey legs were just plain nasty. My sister who travels to WDW feels the same. They are also sold at many events in our area.
