I don't know what to do....

We are staying at the RPR in Mid November
and yesterday my travel agent left me a message about the
renovations.
I knew they were taking place, but now the call has me thinking.

She said the RPR said they would be taking place between 9 and 5 during
the day, but if we want to change hotels, to let her know asap.
We did stay at the HRH before and liked it but I am sure I'd have to
pay more money for that and my trip is already paid off.
What do you guys think?

Will you be sleeping between 9 & 5? If not, then stick with the RPR. The renovations will not be going on on your floor and not necessarily even in your building.

the renovations had started when we where there in July. but was unaware till we where told during the 3rd week of our stay. we where in tower 1 floor 5 and renovations had started on tower 1 floor 7, we would never have knowing anything about if we had not been told, so would not worry about it

I think I will keep my plans the same.
Like I said, we liked the HRH, but we really loved the RPR
and since this is my kiddies first stay at Universal, we wanted them to experience the RPR. We can still pool hope at the other 2 so they can check
them out as well.

I wouldn't switch, but ask your TA or the hotel when you check in what Tower they are doing the renovations in. If all 3, ask for Tower 1 high floor. Last I heard, they started with top floor and worked their way down. A few weeks (month?) ago, someone reported they were on the 4th floor of Tower 1.... Just ask and express your concern and see what they can do.....OR call your TA and ASK if there's an additional charge to switch hotels....you might get HRH or PBH upgrade for free dont' hurt to ask
