I don't know what to do please help

I have mixed feelings about this guy i mean i like him and i don't. But the thing is well he has ignored me for three months or 3 months or longer, and yesterday he made a face at me like a weird face like mysterious, like you don't know why he is giving the look and you don't know what he means by it. Pluse we have a dance tonight and my friend told me he is going but i don't know if i should go up to him and ask him what is the matter or stay away from him, all i want is to be his friend. Please help i don't know what to do.
