13+ years ago I used Disboards A LOT to learn about DCL. Keep in mind there were only 2 ships both sailing out of PC. BUT there was another website run by a lady who was up to 50+ cruises even back then. She listed detailed trip reports and always started her cruises in the spa. She wanted to be getting a massage when the ship pulled out.

Does anyone know who I am taking about? Is she still active? She was a bit unique.

I think you're thinking of Barb's Castaway Club. There hasn't been anything posted since 2016 and she hasn't posted a trip report since 2007 but you can still find her site at http://www.castawayclub.com/

Yes, definitely Barb. She used to live in Chicago, then she and her husband retired near WDW. We once had a lengthy email discussion about all the different cruise lines' "return cruiser" perks, and how DCL fell far short of what other companies did. I often wondered what happened to her and her site... hope she and her husband are well.

Glad you posted this!! I’ve wondered about her too. I talked to her via email and once while on one of our cruises. She worked just down the street from where I used to live in the suburbs of Chicago.
