Brooklynn threw some coins in, and we made wishes for happy things to come for DIS friends.

I do too! :love: I remember walking back to our room that last night after the Halloween Party last trip, and realizing it was the last time that trip we'd be walking down that walkway. But I refuse to be sad at the end of the trip - I try to remember to be thankful instead. ;) (But the sad does usually creep in a little bit too.)

Ah, sweet memories! Just a few weeks ago, I sat in that exact spot watching my own princess enjoying her last midnight swim. :lovestruc

I do hope you get to enjoy a visit during a low-crowd season. Although you of course will always have a magical time, shorter lines, fewer ADRs (more walk-ins) and more elbow room are big plusses. In mid-December, just a week after FLE opened, we walked on Journey of the Little Mermaid 3 times in a row!
 

Can you say" Disgruntled Employees of the Month'?;) Yikes! Hope it was the heat.

Long day, heat, didn't want to be there...I'm not sure, but definitely not seeing the Disney magic :wizard: in that picture. :laughing:



DH and I enjoyed looking at all the shadow boxes when we stayed there!

It is fun to see things you remember from 'back in the day'. :hippie:

She didn't have to wear the lifejacket when she was near the steps, but she had to put it on to venture out. She didn't want to wear it at all, because she thinks she's an expert swimmer now, but I didn't want her to get into a bad situation out there over her head that ended up with me jumping in to help her. I really wanted to get in with her, since there was no one there, but me in a bathing suit would not be a pretty picture.

She really was so happy out there floating around thinking about what she wanted to have or do next. It's good for kids to have that kind of time - sometimes. Not enough to make them selfish, but enough to make them feel special. :goodvibes

Our Octobers have not been bad, but I know they are still nothing like January or February crowds. I would have to take off a week from school. I might do it one of these days. I know I would love it. Right now, I am counting my weeks until the March trip and getting more and more excited the closer it gets!

10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 - That's the countdown in weeks! Ten weeks from right now, I will be on a plane!

Loved your Wilderness Lodge Thanksgiving and Under the Sea Christmas! What a wonderfuld idea and such great memories for the girls. May have to steal the Wilderness Lodge idea for something in the future. Too cute!

We got stuck on Splash once but never evacuated. How cool to be so up close to the ride!

Loved your pictures from OKW. We have been booked there several times but changed when something else became available. It looks so nice and relaxing. May have to give it a try in the future.

So glad you had fun with Brooklyn. I am sure it was hard seeing the rest of the family leave but what great memories you made with Brooklyn.

I love the path to and from the boats at WL but I sure didn't like the swarm of bugs near the lights! You had to make sure you kept your mouth closed!:lmao:
 
I was a bit behind due to holiday craziness, but caught up now again. I have enjoyed your last two days at the World!! I love a good DTD/resort hopping day. Even though we've visited almost all the resorts now (I think we just haven't seen Riverside...), there are always new details to be seen - or at least a gift shop to explore. :goodvibes

I can easily picture the girls dragging Baylor on Barnstormer over and over. Sounds like a good night! :laughing:
 
I always enjoy seeing your Pop pictures MeMom! I know you have a special love for the resort and I can feel it as I view the photos. That was our first resort ever so it also holds a special place in my heart. I'm feeling a little emotional today so I welled up a little bit. Thanks for sharing them! :goodvibes
 
We were right near that pool and in the Play-Dough building last January! Seeing your pictures brought back such good memories. I really hope to be around there again, because it was such a nice location! Your pictures are making me so excited to be back :goodvibes

The bridge from Pop to Art of Animation os horrible when it is dark, especially in the early morning. I had to swim through a sea of bugs. It was yucky!

I have seen all resorts except for a Treehouse Villa and Shades of Green.

Baylor is a good sport with all the younger kids. :)

It looks like I will be back at POP on Sunday! I have to go to a conference in Orlando. It will be just me so i wanted to stay somewhere I knew and would feel safe at alone so where else but POP. Not sure if I will have any time to go to a park but yay Disney!

We had already met up with them earlier in the pouring down rain and wind. Remember that is the night your umbrella kept going inside out and I pretended to be flying away.

That floatie is BY FAR THE BEST floation device ever invented. My V was terrified, she wouldn't go in a lifejacket, she wouldn't let go of you, I had claw marks. I tried a puddle jumper put it on her walked her into the water and off she went! Instant confidence. It is just something about how they are held up and so much safer than a lifejacket!

I agree; you will feel safe and at home on Disney property. ::yes:: Even if we were doing all non-Disney things on a trip, would still like having a Disney resort for the safety and feeling like I was in my comfort zone.

Brooklynn only wears it when she has to, which is pretty much when Jill is not in a swimsuit where she can hop in to help or when Brooklynn doesn't want to stay closer to the steps. Bella loves the freedom the floatie gives her, so she is all for it! Luckily, the pools aren't real deep, so it won't be long before Brooklynn can touch the bottom everywhere.

My goal for our trip is to take lots of pictures. I say that a lot before I go on a trip, but I never end up taking very many pictures.
