My thoughts and prayers to all in Dis town that have a needed.
Prayers are much appreciated for my sweet sister in law and the babies (aand
). She spent a few days at the hospital with contractions and such, but did get to go back home for bedrest. Each day is so important, and she still has weeks to go before delivery would not be risky. Thanks DISTOWN!
You know we don't have any complaints about the walks from rooms too food courts. Maybe having to walk through the land of Scar and the hyenas made the walk to the main building seem longer and more ominous.I was too busy taking pictures to think about the walk. It was the same as walking over to the 50's at Pop, in my opinion.
I think Brandi was looking at another place today after school. Her parents were thinking Portland was too far, so I'm pretty sure we can cut anything in GA off the list. Although...I did hear a faint rumor of 'just go to the beach', which I would be ALL FOR.
We've been in this new queue 2-3 times now, and we like it. The girls like climbing around, and it gives the grown-ups a chance to chill out for a few minutes.
Nighttime in Magic Kingdom.

Bella's turn to pick a ride.

How very sad, but also uplifting.![]()
Caren, what a giving man, your friend, Bill was. His freedom from the paralysis must be a glorious thing!
My thoughts and prayers to all in Dis town that have a needed.
My prayers go out to all who need them tonight!
I absolutely love the carousel pics at night.
Makes me want to jump right into those pics and take a ride with all of you.
Disney is so beautiful at night with all the lights, so magical.
Makes for very Sweet Dreams!
Memom are you done school this Friday?
See, and I don't think the walk from the very far end of 50's to the food court is bad at all. So I guess it depends on the person.
Anna and Chris got married at Miramar Beach (near Destin) in Florida and (although their marriage didn't work out) it was absolutely gorgeous! It was early October and the monarch butterflies were migrating to Mexico and they were EVERYWHERE....very cool!
Can't wait to see this with my own eyes! I hope it's toddler friendly. Seth will be just over 2.5 when we go, so I'm hoping he can just go wild while I sit down for a few minutes!
Her horsies!!!![]()
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.
The Storybook Circus area looks really cool at night, especially Dumbo!
It breaks my heart to hear all of this sad news. I'll be sure to keep everyone in my prayers.
The new Dumbo queue is fantastic. I was impressed because I thought it would be MUCH more hectic.![]()
Well said MeMom.
I would add that it is threads such as yours that help take our minds away from the craziness of events such as these. Thank you for posting wonderful stories and pictures of your family.
I can only hope that the prayers of the many, help heal the ravished hearts and souls of those devastated by this....
And Memom, thank you, for all you do, write, share, and express to us in distown...

MeMom, you have a wonderful way with words! My heart aches for those beautiful little children taken too soon. I know I spent extra time snuggling with my children last night. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in Newtown. Also praying for those in DIStown that need extra prayers right now! Hugs to all!
I probably was just there in my tr. LOL
We went to Sunshine Tree Terrace for the first time this trip. Only thing is I forgot to go back and get an orange bird cup. :O( Maybe next time.
Philharmagic is one my faves.
I do not think I have ever seen a mailbox.
Wow! That is the emptiest I have seen the bakery.
YUM!!!
Poor Raifiki. LOL
LOL. John’s face on SE.
Living With The Land is one of the best. I could ride it many times and never get bored.
The fountain area is my favorite in Epcot.
I did not get the waffle sandwich this trip but I will next time.
Dumbo looks gorgeous at night. I missed that.
Nice castle pic at night with the moon and the philharmagic sign.
Thanks Memom for your words of wisdom. I knew that if I came to check in that you would have something to say that would help sooth my soul. My heart is breaking for all those parents & children that went thru such traumatic events. As a sub teacher, I can see the beautiful faces of the kindergarten children that is one of my favorite to work in, and can't imagine if this would have been them. Even though my children are older, I am glad they were in their beds last night and I had the opportunity to give them hugs last night and again this morning. Once again... thanks for your wonderful words.
I think I need a Disney day to make me have some happy thoughts again. Until then, I will go back and look at your pictures.
After coming back from lunch yesterday and watching the horrifying news broadcast, I couldn't quite get my mind off the precious lives lost at that school. I feared that there would be no way that I could protect my own kids with our open walls and lack of doors in second and third grade. I pray in light of these events our district will take action to protect our students. We can't ever be careful enough.
MeMom, great post - well said. I turned off the news, I just can't watch any more.
I am way behind as usual, but will catch upIt has been a crazy busy week, as always with 2 weeks until Christmas and with the news yesterday, it has taken some of the joy out of it.
Newtown is about 10 miles down the road from me and 2 towns over. As I said in a fb post, it is unimaginable that something so horrific happened here...to see national news anchors standing in spots and going to places that you drive by all the time is absolutely unreal. One of the little girls is the daughter of a coworker of my husbands...please keep all the families, first responders, the community and the surrounding area in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
