Oh I love Fantasmic! The part at the end with all of the characters on the boat is definitely worth the crazy wait and the horrible herd of people trying to get out after it's over! On the trip in October I took my aunts to see it one night (both of whom had never seen it) and they both agreed it was their favourite thing that they saw on the trip! It was a ladies night out treat. The little ones tried to watch it last year and apparently had to leave within the first few minutes because they were terrified (however, they are absolute fraidy-cats! Mia and Kai are both scared of even the Tiki Room! ) I'm glad Brooklynn and Bella are fans! I love their sassy picture on the steets of Hollywood (even if it is past bedtime! )

I think it's worth the wait, too...

and of course scarfing down some mint chocolate chip ice cream makes the wait easier. I hope to see it again in March.

As usual, I'm reading updates backwards b/c I'm behind.

Loved the Fantasmic! pictures. I'm SO excited to see it in May. We skipped it last trip b/c we wanted to get Seth back to the hotel early the night we were at DHS. It's one of my favorite parts of Disney. I adore the story line and the music, and the ending always makes me tear up! Can't wait to see what Seth thinks about it.

The show itself is pretty much the same but the show takes place on Tom Sawyer Island. Same set up with the water between you and the actual show.
They just line you up around the Rivers of America, the first 10 or so rows get to sit in a roped off area and then they file standing rows behind them.

What was funny is that the rope between the standing and sitting rows gets dropped and the CM just says - Everyone in font of this rope stay seated and everyone behind this rope stay standing, and then the rope is gone. People actually stayed where they were.

You can be closer to the actual action but having a seat on a bench and stadium seating makes DHS the winner in my book.

Interesting. Yes, I would prefer having seating - even just a bench.

It's kind I'd the same over at World of Color-you get a fast pass for your section and then you stand.

I knew you stood for World of Color, but I didn't know about Fantasmic.

Fantasmic is so much fun! We don't get to see it nearly as often, because I seem to be the only real fan in the family. I was hoping to get Everett on my side, but after our last trip, I'm not sure he's going to be in the "pro-fantasmic" camp. Thanks for the pictures!

Too bad. Maybe on a girl trip, a mom and dad get-away, or when he's a bit older.

When we last left you, it was dark, and the girls were dancing in the streets.

Now, it is morning. The girls, along with most of Pop Century's residents, are asleep.

I went out for a morning walk.

This guy was out for a morning hop.

There was quiet dancing going on here.

Work was being done on the Twister games.

I was taking pictures of classic stuff - things you've seen a million times.

And the not so usual - reflection of Mickey on the building off of the back of Mickey.

That probably doesn't get a million pictures a day taken.

I love that there is something across the lake now.

All done now, and we enjoyed our time there in October.

Fun vehicle.

If there's a participating theater nearby, she could try one of their lights-up and sound-down showings. Ours offer something family-friendly about once a month. Great for wee ones and anyone with heightened sensitivities.

Nope, Seth has a kiniption (sp?) fit when Bruce comes on. Like real, scared-out-of-my-mind tears. So we haven't watched Nemo much lately. We watched Brave for the first time tonight and I was worried the bears would scare him. He kinda blinked a lot during one of the scenes but never cried or anything. Go figure.

We are - we'll arrive late Thursday night and leave Sunday morning. What's your schedule like?

I caught up right after I texted you a few days ago (or was it last week...?), and then promptly got sidetracked. I am now officially caught up! And finally made a ticker for the trip. My director told me today that she approved the time off, but the paper was somewhere in my assistant director's desk. I already decided that once I get my copy of that time off approval, it's going on my fridge!

You aren't alone with not liking the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz...my dad HATES them. I think they were part of the very first bad dream he remembers? Whatever it is, he just really doesn't like them.

I love the Pop pictures, as always. The AoA ones are getting me excited, too!

Oh, guess where I'm going tomorrow? Earl of Sandwich!!! One opened up in the Boston Commons, so once I get out of work, Charles and I are going there. It's going to be a new experience because it's a freestanding one, so we'll have to eat outside. It's also not really in a location you can just drive to, so we have to take the subway, but I am SO excited to have my fix and to introduce Charles to our good friend Earl

It's a big relief to have the major part over by holiday time. Now I can relax and enjoy and not have that burden hanging over me through Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I am cooking Sunday so that all the 'kids' can be off with their people doing dinners and such on Thursday. Just give me some warning when you are going to be going past my exit and we can hook up. Or if you are meeting Erica at Rivergate or Opry Mills for lunch sometime, I can meet you guys there.

I made it to the food court in time to see some dancing.

And then it was back to the room.
(Jill will usually call me when she wakes up, knowing that I am roaming around. She usually says Bella is up and asking for her MeMom, and I go back to the room to hang out with Bella so she can get a shower.

If there is time, I stay with the girls in the room while Jill and John (if he is up) do a breakfast run.

Today's plans.

Breakfast finished and on to the bus stop - Brooklynn wanted to pose.

Sweet big girl! On this day, she and I went on ahead, and the others came just a little while later.

This is what she'll look like as an AK cast member someday, but she'll have teeth where that big gap is.
