I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

I so love following along with your trip reports. Just the virtual escape I was looking for this Saturday night. ::yes::

What is your feeling about Great Movie Ride? Do you think it should be updated with more current movies or kept the same? I'm torn...

Love the photo of Jill, Sophie, Bella, Brooklynn, and Angus... so cute!

The flying monkeys used to freak me out too. Though it didn't compare to the nightmares inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Bad park shoes

:rotfl:

I have a friend that is moving into a brand new school right after Christmas and they are doing a building wide Wizard of Oz theme. Making a house with the socks and shoes sticking out came to mind at once.....

I have a feeling that you know exactly how I feel age wise. :rolleyes1

Do you know how many I have seen that show at the castle form a distance and yet never go up and watch? One day I should.
Fun Dip was one of my faves as a kid.
I have never set foot in Pizza Planet. Another I should try.
I wish the pre-show for the Muppets was shorter. It feels like it will never end. I love the movie though it could use an update.
I love the Muppets gift shop.
Great shots inside TGMR.

You know I've never been a big wizard of oz fan, they could make that section of the ride a little smaller :)

Maybe it is just my mood today but you are bringing the funny tonight.

The bad park shoes had me :lmao:

I did the GMR in Oct. First time in several visits and well worth the short wait. ;)

I had to give my brain a break from the paperwork I am absorbed in for my evaluation on Tuesday. I have written and rewritten a dozen times. I have planned the groups and activities, created the worksheet, gathered the supplies, practiced it in my head, timed it, and so on and so on and so until I am :crazy2:. I needed some fun DIS time, so I probably was a bit silly.

Great Movie Ride has become one of Brooklynn's favorite Hollywood attractions.

Angus was talking all in like... horse language - 'Whoah, Nelly! There's a witch up there!'

I do think it should be updated. Some should be kept, but maybe freshened up, and I think the alien thing should be totally replaced.

I think I had a couple of scary dreams about flying monkeys when I was younger. :scared:

Whaaa....??? Yeah, I am probably more like a fall chicken, huh? ;)

A Wizard of Oz theme seems kind of different for a whole school to be doing. Maybe you can share pictures if she sends you some.

Yes, you should see the castle show. it's cute.
Fun Dip is a kid's delight. I never cared for it, but my kids liked it. I did like that it was a cheap special treat, though. ::yes::

At least it is light enough that a person can get some halfway decent pictures there. A lot of that ride is too dark for good pictures from my point and shoot. I am all for the creepy lady in Alien being replaced!

Oh the Great Movie Ride...I really do love the idea of it, but it just seems to be in need of some updating love!!

The movie that used to scare me was the Little Mermaid. I would always make my mom turn it off when Ursula would grow all huge...and then I would watch Beetlejuice instead. She was always like "WHAT is wrong with you???" :rotfl:.

I love all the pics of MuppetVision! I am never there when the pre-show is empty, so I can't go around and take pictures. I am dying to be able to check out all the hilarious details as I've only seen a fraction of them. Thanks for taking and posting all those! Since we're going in December, chances are I won't see the details then either!

Can't wait for Fantasmic! It's my favorite nighttime show. I get so giddy during the finale when Mickey's on top of the mountain.

I agree about GMR. There are a ton of movies they could update with.

Yay for Mickey's victory over evil! :smickey: Jill and I love seeing the big white boat come around the corner. We are as thrilled as any little kid in the whole place when all of those characters come out waving! :jumping1:

Don't know if you paid attention to the last picture, but just to show you how Disney-warped I am: one of the words I was working on with my Voyager group last week was 'scoop'. The first thing that popped into my mind was that place. ::yes::

I need a twelve step program...:smokin:

Now it is time to wait in a long, wide line, stay to the right if you have strollers, try not to let your ice cream melt all over you, do the wave, buy a light up toy (or pull out the one you already have), and enjoy tonight's performance of

Fantasmic!

Love Fantasmic! Can't see it enough... our pics often leave something to be desired, but we keep trying. As I have said many times , we go during a busy time and there are often two shows at night... when we see that the line is moving we get at the end and say, " as long as we get in we don't care where we sit". You notice new things when you sit on the side!

Love steamboat Willie ! Angus with Bo cracked me up.

I also saw Fantasmic in Sept in DL and Oct in DHS. Walked right in. :duck:

I know - I just can't do the massive line... second show and just wait. :confused3

Love the show and for the record- like it better at DHS. It may only be a bench but you have a seat.

Thanks for the Fantasmic pictures. We didn't go see it this year, so it was nice seeing it here.

Love the GMR. We did that multiple times this trip. I was always afraid of the flying monkeys in Wizard of Oz too. Otherwise, it was a good movie. Loved John Wayne movies too!

The girls are so cute on the empty streets. Such cuties.

Love the Fantasmic pictures! It's definitely quite the journey to and from the show, but it's worth it. ::yes::

Loved F! at DL, but isn't the whole set -up a little strange given what goes on at the studios ? Walked out of the haunted mansion and said what's going on? Oh, it's Fantasmic...

I love GMR too - but I could do without Alien for sure.

Fantasmic is awesome - I'm glad you shared because we didn't see it in October and we haven't seen it in a long time. I love the picture at the end of Sorcerer Mickey! My favorite!

Silly happy girls - I would be too if I were at DHS past my bedtime! ::yes::

Just caught up again. The girls made cute princesses and peas. Halloween already feels like it was so long ago!
Your Plaza lunch looks pretty good. We haven't tried that one yet. Someday.
I just love Fantasmic. pixiedust: We're planning on seeing it this coming trip. Hopefully the little ones will cooperate. I think the last time I saw it was 2009 and that's just too long!

Hahaha now the Fantasmic music is stuck in my head from humming along with your photos! I haven't seen F! in a long time, maybe it's time for a revisit!

Hollywood Studios at night really does have so much more atmosphere than during the day! I don't know why, the signs all lit up? :confused3
