I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

I'm just getting caught back up. Loved the pictures from the new part of the Fantasyland. Lots of thoughts and prayer who are in need. I hope all find peace.

I love our DIS community, and my heart hurts for all those going through difficult times right now. MeMom, lots of prayers for Russell, his family, and his friends in the coming days.

In happier news, I am caught up on your TR again. I hope that things are calmer now for a little bit of time. I miss being on the DIS and visiting. Those pictures of the new Fantasyland make me absolutely giddy!

Prayers & hugs for you, Trent, Russell & family. So so sad to hear these things. My thoughts are with you all.:grouphug:

Got a text from Trent a few minutes ago. Our friend, Russell, the one with the rare pneumonia, has about 48 hours, doctors say. Please keep this family in your thoughts as they go through these hours ahead. I am just sick to my stomach here at school - trying to move on with the day, yet wanting to have a good cry.

:grouphug::grouphug:For You,Trent, Russell and his family.

So sad. Thoughts and prayers to everyone.

aww, Crap! I'm so sorry! I will keep them in my prayers - I can't imagine how hard that would be.

So sorry to hear.

I am praying for you and the family. :grouphug:

MeMom, I am so sorry that things are so rough right now. I am back from our trip and real life just isn't so hot either at the moment either. Big hugs for you, Jill, your family and all that need one now. :grouphug:

Will go back to read and get caught up!

Add my prayers to the group....:rockband: what do they say? He who sings, prays twice! Lots of folks need some Disney warmth and :grouphug: hugs this week. Wishing all safe passage also, in this late hurricane! Deb

Lifting Russell up :grouphug:

Prayers for Russell's family.

Keeping everyone in my prayers.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. Russell moved on to better things yesterday. He will have many people coming to celebrate his life and to surround his family over the days ahead. One commonality comes through as people are writing and talking about him - that he was so helpful. He was a big guy with a big voice during ballgames, one of those that you wanted to be quiet so he wouldn't make the refs mad enough to start calling against our team. ;) He came by it honestly, because his dad was sitting beside him doing the same thing. They were partners in loudness when it came to ballgames. I was told by a member of his church the other day that his dad was sobbing in the waiting room when they learned that there was really nothing more that could be done. The thought of that big loud Papa sobbing for his boy just brought me to tears. He has lost his son and his friend.

Thinking of everyone in their times of need. I have been so worried about our DIS friend that is down there now. I know she is having a magical time but from what I've seen on FB, she must not have as much energy as she usually does.

I hope she had the time of her life! Cancer is such an ugly, hateful thing.

We are so glad to have you back around, Mizz Jackie! Are you formulating some Summer 2013 Disney trip plans yet? You know you have to go see all the new stuff! :cool1:

Jill brought the laptop to load pictures onto Photobucket last night. John was doing it when I went to bed, but there are no pictures this morning, so Photobucket must not have been cooperating. We will try again this morning. I am so aggravated at myself for not being able to find the SD card that holds the middle of the trip. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I erased it by accident, but I really don't think I did. I don't even know where it has vanished to. I have now labeled 6 SD cards from the October trip - 3 of pictures and 3 of movies - and put them away for safekeeping. The 3 picture ones are already on Photobucket, so all is well there. As soon as we can get card #2 of summer loaded, I promise we will have more Disney World pictures blasting at you to make up for lost time. I am so, so sorry this happened, and I know you are getting bored with just conversations without pictures around here. I will try to put some pictures up of the girls' activities yesterday at the pumpkin patch with Trent and a friend and at Trunk or Treat last night. At least the latter did have its little touch of Disneyness. :thumbsup2

We're thinking of all of you who are the storm's path this week. We pray for the safety of everyone and everything that belongs to you. Please continue to keep us updated here and on FB.

We are doing a birthday brunch this morning for Jarvis, so I need to go get started on that. Have a good day, all!

Happy Birthday to Jarvis!!! pixiedust: Brunch sounds delightful!

More thoughts and prayers for Russell's family -- it is so heartbreaking.

It feels great to be back on the DIS. :goodvibes No plans for Summer 2013. If I have my way, it will be a Christmas 2013 trip. We are in the middle of trying to decide what we will do for the summer -- Chelsea wants Tybee Island, so she can bring a friend, I want New Orleans, and Charles and Connor will go wherever we decide. :rotfl:

Prayers for Russell's family as they go through this rough time.

Hope Jarvis has a wonderful birthday and enjoy that brunch!

Our Gov just keeps saying " this could be very very bad"...ok that's not real helpful, so if you don't have specifics, skip that part of the update.

I'm very sorry to hear that your friend passed away. I am especially sorry for his father (and the rest of his family), such a sad story.

Happy Birthday Jarvis!

Happy Birthday to Jarvis.
:bday:

He has three plates, I think. :thumbsup2

I'd love to see New Orleans for a day or two, but I'd probably rather go to Tybee for a week long trip. It will be interesting to see where you end up. :)

Brunch was good, and we had a lot of laughs.

Thanks for the thoughts for Russell's family.

I'm seeing 60 -75 mph winds on FB posts. It's cool here, but very pretty. It's hard to believe we could zoom just a few miles away and see a whole different picture.

Hi! Finally all caught up, just don't get much DIS time while school is in session!

A lot of people have dropped out of sight since the school year has started. Kids and work keep us busy, and I think a lot of people get tired of hearing the same things and seeing the same pictures, so they wander off to new reports, and I can't blame them for that.

I'm very sorry to hear that your friend passed away. I am especially sorry for his father (and the rest of his family), such a sad story.

I imagine his was a very sad congregation this morning, but we know that beyond the sorrow is the rejoicing.

Finally........Photobucket cooperated, pictures are loaded, and we are ready to resume.

The first picture after the long lull in the action is an exciting one, too.

It is

a

refrigerator! :dance3:

I had been asked by a Pop Century thread person to get pictures of the fridge to show the size, so I took these.

IMG_0861.jpg

These refrigerators are not very big or very cold, but they are a big help to me with my food budget. I don't have to throw away half a meal now, but rather I can bring it back to the room and have it later. I can also order or buy some lunch meat and bread and sandwich my way through several meals rather than spending a lot of money. I am very glad WDW decided to install them.

This day's park would be Magic Kingdom.

We were in line at Peter Pan when we got word that Stacy was right there, too, so we had a very quick hello with her sweet family.

IMG_0873.jpg

Since I am in this picture, I obviously cannot be blamed for the blurriness. :rolleyes1 At least you can see their fun shirts pretty decently.

IMG_0874.jpg

After Peter Pan, it was on to the Carrousel.

IMG_0876.jpg

I will do more in a little bit. Gonna watch Mary Poppins with the girls right now.

Pregnant Jill took me off guard... I momentarily forgot what trip we were on!

Schools closed Monday and Tuesday...yard full of leaves again :(

This will be the last 'pregnant Jill' trip you will ever see. ::yes::

We are thinking of all who are in the path of this storm. They say it has the potential to be a huge mess.

After the Carrousel, we moved over to Winnie the Pooh.

YAY Photobucket issues cleared up and back to posting pictures.

A MK morning and a great tour through Fantasyland and Storybook circus.

Glad everything got cleared up with photobucket.

Good info to know about the Casey Jr. splash/soak area. I'll have to be sure we're prepared if it's warm enough and they even have it running when we're there.

Quoting isn't working well for me right now, but your caption of, "It's a major award!" made me laugh, and now I have A Christmas Story on the brain! :santa:

I agree, the opening show at Magic Kingdom is the best start to any day! So glad you got to meet up with Stacy, John, Ben, and Ellie. They are such an awesome family!
Barnstormer has become a favorite with Harper too! It's just perfect for the small crowd!

Prayers going out to Russell's family. Such a difficult time for those close to him.
Also sending good thoughts to our friends out east as Sandy makes her presence known..
