I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

This is such a fun ride!

June2012Part1256.jpg

MY FAVORITE!!! :goodvibes And tell Brooklynn I get it - that's part of the fun....being scared! :scared1:

Puddle jumping would be such an awesome activity in Disney! I accept! Hahah

The ToT pic is just priceless, awesome!! I also really love the bell hop Mickey Ears they have! Those are great!!

I hate being in that little room too!! :scared:

:lmao: Love the ride photo. Brookie looks thrilled. :lmao:

The ToT is priceless! Love it! They have some neat items in the gift shop. I hope your first day back with the kids went well:)

Oh my gosh...it looks so empty out in front of the Brown Derby!!! Must have been a bit strange seeing it that way.

I LOVE your ToT pics!!! My favorite ride!!! :goodvibes

Puddle jumping is just too cute!

Great TOT ride photo. You have the biggest smile on your face. And so brave to be taking a picture at the same time. I always have big smile too, it's my favorite thrill ride. I wonder if Brooklynn is hiding her face because she doesn't want to see the ghosts. Danielle and Michelle don't like to see the ghosts and they are much older that she is. The like the drops but not the ghosts.

Hey Memom! Just dropping in to say I am lovin your new TR! I am lurking as usual, reading your trippies just make me feel so happy all the time when life gets in the way...you know what I mean ;). We will be leaving in 6 short days...I would be happy to text you a pic or two if you like. Pick your fav spot and I will share a happy moment with you...PM if you like. We will be staying AK,Poly,BC this time around. Pls let me know. Have a great weekend!

TGIF!! Good morning MeMom. I hope you had a great week with your kids.

Love the pic on Brooklynn on ToT.:lmao: And a MeMom pic.:) You are brave taking a pic. I am usually holding on!!!

Have a wonderful weekend.

It's more fun when you don't hold on!

I like the way they ease us back into school mode. Next week will be the real test - a full week of full days. ;)

Good luck on your first full day!!! A week from today will be our first day with the kids. Oh my! This summer flew by for me!

Great shots of the ToT -- I felt like I was experiencing it again! ;)

Puddle jumping for Bella? Awww, I remember those days when the kids had fun doing that. :goodvibes

We will have to fill an elevator with DISers someday. That would be a blast!

The themeing of the TOT queue really is awesome! I am too much of a chicken to ride (did once - never again!!), but I do love seeing the pictures from there.

Have a great weekend! :goodvibes

Aw, come on now, you did it as a single, but you will be required to do it once as a married lady, too, to be sure you keep your good DISer standing. :)

Love Bella's puddle jumping!

I can't believe you take pictures on tower of terror. I don't know how you hold on to you camera. I was just like Brooklyn--hold on to Tom for dear life. He is sitting there just laughing away!!! Glad she enjoys it!

Love the girls in their hats.

She enjoys it, but is scared, at the same time. Once we had to pay her to go on it, but this time she volunteered. :thumbsup2

I lo e a good drop on ToT in the morning. I hope you first full day go smooth and quick. Just think afterwards you are already at the weekend. : whoohoo:

True that. This was an easy week, overall, but they made sure to give us stacks and stacks of papers telling us all about things we will be doing soon. Most of August and all of September and October will be horrid.

It's so sad seeing the front of the Brown Derby so empty. Like I think maybe the whole Sorcerer Mickey was out of place, but I would love to not see that area so barren.

Bella's puddle jumping is so precious. She totally knows how to make raining in Disney sound like fun. I'll probably have to release my inner Gene Kelly if it decides to rain on my next trip.

Love your pictures of the 'Tower of Tara' queue and the ride! Your ride photo is awesome, you look you are having the time of your life right there MeMom! Brooklynn is one brave girl, I would've never been able to ride ToT at her age. The girls look great in the Bellhop Mickey Ears, may have to get those.

Can't wait to hear about more! Hope you have a great Friday, Memom! :mickeyjum

It was different seeing nothing in that space, but it actually makes the Brown Derby look nicer, I think.

Bella had plenty of puddles to jump in for several days. ::yes::

23 pages in and I'm along for the ride! Better late than never right? :)

So fun waking up and reading about Tower of Terror! I love that ride and cannot WAIT to finally be able to ride it again next year!

Glad you are here, Lauren! It is so fun to look forward to our Disney trips! :dance3:

I'm thinking they moved the Sorcerer Mickey topiaries to help with congestion on that walkway. There were always people (me included) stopping in that small area to take pictures and holding others up. Just a thought :confused3

Loved the ToT pictures! It's been awhile since I rode it, but Jared loves it and Mom has decided that she wants to experience it at least once, so I think we are riding next month!

The picture of the girls in the ToT ears is too cute :goodvibes

Yes, that walkway was always congested, and it was really hard to get pictures of the display without people walking through, yet everybody couldn't stop, obviously.

Looking forward to seeing your ToT picture. :thumbsup2

Those ToT pictures are GREAT!!! My oldest DD is like Brooklyn...she freaks out and screams the entire time...then gets off the ride and goes on and on about how much she loves it. I believe we may have some adrenaline junkies on our hands, MeMom! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the update, it was just what I needed on this dreary Friday morning in Middle Tennessee! :goodvibes

Brooklynn always peeks out when she feels the elevator going up, and she smiles, but when it starts back down, she ducks!

Love the ToT pics!! Such a great ride. I scream and hold on the whole time, but I still love it. :) I NEED that shirt with Donald, Mickey and Goofy on the ride. Too cute.

That is cute, and that is just how Brooklynn is - happy when up, and frightened when going down.

Love all of your pictures!!

Thanks! Glad to have you with us!

Look it's a Memom sighting! Such a cute picture. You look like you are having a ball and Brooklynn's just not too sure...but it's adorable seeing her hugging her daddy for protection. The place every little girl should be able to go to to feel safe.

Hope your first day of school and the whole school year with be an awesome one. Saying a prayer for you and your class.

We did have fun. A lot of people from real life ask if I ride that, since that is one that they know of, even if they don't know much about WDW, and they seem a little shocked when I tell them I love it!

Not quite caught up, but getting there:thumbsup2. I admit the Olympics kind of take over my life:happytv:

Love the green army men on your hall board... they are great.

Brendan said he would have to stop over to pop for a king cupcake when he is there

Happy Birthdaypixiedust: sorry they are belated wishes...that would once again be my Olympics obsession:cheer2:

Best wishes for a wonderful school year- I can't believe you start so early- with no problems from those students!! ( one can always hope:thumbsup2)

No problems - I will take that! :woohoo:

A Memom picture! Brooklyn is so brave. My 13 yr old went once at her age and never again. lol Glad your first week back was not too traumatic. We leave tomorrow!!! I did have a question about the new Dumbo area. Does it open at the same time as the MK? The old area used to open an hour later and I am trying to figure out strategy. :0)

Confession: I have never been on ToT. Big chicken. Do I brave it? Or maybe just see the queue and use the chicken exit? I don't even like on a regular elevator when there is a little "swizzle" as we reach a floor so am guessing this may not be for me. But hate to think I'm missing something...

Bella is such a cutie doing her puddle jumping!

I kinda like the "empty" Brown Derby view. :rotfl2:

Can't believe you are back to school already!!??!!??!!?? :scared:

Ok, all caught up :thumbsup2

Toy Story is one of my favorites, never get to ride enough because of the crowds when we are there:sad2: The line at wdw is amazing...not so much at California Adventue- no fast pass and the majority of the line is in the sun:faint:

Looking at the pics from TOT gets me thinking I need to give it another go. It is one of my retired rides, haven't been on since my 14 year old was 6!!! It's not the drops that get me...it the anticipation of the "big one" :scared1:

Looks like a fun ride on "Tower Of Tara"! And fun to spot a hidden Brooklynn rather than a hidden MeMom! My neice Mia declared to me yesterday that she will never ever ever go on it! She was curious about it so we watched a video on Youtube. She gets very anxious in the dark and she doesn't like anything scary. :sad2: I should show her the pictures of what Brooklynn does because they are nearly the same age! TSMM is more her speed.

I hope the first day of school went well! I bet the kids were all amazed by your Toy Story room! :goodvibes

I'm here and all caught up!

I LOVED the AoA pictures, especially the radiator springs ones! I have been toying with the idea of a 2013 trip to DL and DCA, to take Everett to Carsland, but maybe I could get away with just going to WDW and staying in one of the Cars suites. :rotfl:

TSMM and ToT are wonderful ways to start out a morning at DHS. Sorry it was a little soggy, I agree its harder to brave the rain when you also have to brave stroller rain covers! :scared: Am I the only one who can never figure out how to get those darn things on the stroller correctly?

Love the picture of Brooklynn holding on to her daddy in ToT! I'm going to take your word for it that she really loved it!

Hope your first full day with kids goes great and that you have a wonderful year. I know you'll be a positive influence on their lives!

My prayer on the first half day was that I could be a good example to the kids and to my co-workers. :)

So your kiddos just come in for one day this week? Nice!

Great update. I love your ToT photo!

They were there for a half day Wednesday and a full day Friday.

MY FAVORITE!!! :goodvibes And tell Brooklynn I get it - that's part of the fun....being scared!

It is part of the fun. :thumbsup2 She made the choice on her own to go on it. ::yes::

ToT pictures...what a nice way to start a friday morning!!!

Glad you enjoyed them. :goodvibes

Puddle jumping would be such an awesome activity in Disney! I accept! Hahah

The ToT pic is just priceless, awesome!! I also really love the bell hop Mickey Ears they have! Those are great!!

Brooklynn put on the hat, and of course her little sister had to do it, too. :)

I hate being in that little room too!! :scared:

Love the ride photo. Brookie looks thrilled.

She really did have fun. She thought the picture was funny.

The ToT is priceless! Love it! They have some neat items in the gift shop. I hope your first day back with the kids went well

The last hour and a half was long, but the rest of the day was okay.

Oh my gosh...it looks so empty out in front of the Brown Derby!!! Must have been a bit strange seeing it that way.

I LOVE your ToT pics!!! My favorite ride!!! :goodvibes

It was different, but I do think it was a good idea. Traffic flow should be much better through there now.

Puddle jumping is just too cute!

She doesn't like the ghosts, but that was during the drops. She peeks out when we go up and covers her face when going down.

Nice places! Lucky you! :cool1: I will send you my number. I'll take a picture from anywhere, of course.

I did have a question about the new Dumbo area. Does it open at the same time as the MK? The old area used to open an hour later and I am trying to figure out strategy. :0)

As far as I know, it opens when the rest of the park does. We went and did Peter Pan and a couple of other things first and then went over to Dumbo. Since there were two DUmbos and the new waiting area, we thought Peter Pan was the wiser choice.

Confession: I have never been on ToT. Big chicken. Do I brave it? Or maybe just see the queue and use the chicken exit? I don't even like on a regular elevator when there is a little "swizzle" as we reach a floor so am guessing this may not be for me. But hate to think I'm missing something...

I don't like elevators, so I am always glad when they open up. This one is no exception. The heights don't bother me a bit, but the closed doors do.

Ok, all caught up :thumbsup2

It would be interesting to do a comparison of all the rides that are at both parks. Is it Haunted Mansion that they say is so much better at Disneyland?

If we ever cross paths in WDW, we'll meet at ToT and fill an elevator with DIS friends. :dance3: You'll do it with us, won't you???

After her first ToT ride, Brooklynn would not go on it for a while. Then we talked her into going with me once for pay. I think the cost was a dollar. She volunteered this time. :)

The kids liked the Toy Story room, but they were not happy that the toys were up high. :upsidedow

We don't mind the normal scattered showers, but this was the first trip we have had that it has rained and rained and rained and only given short breaks.

Happy late Birthday!!! I celebrated your birthday for you at Disney World. :goodvibes

Wow, you've started school already?! I'm shocked. My area always starts day after Labor Day.

Loving your TSM update! My favorite. :) Looks like yall made the most of a rainy day!

That last picture of the girls in the bellhop ears is fabulous! I love all the unique mickey ears that they offer at Disney. Trying to decide what I'll bring home in October.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend in Alabama. I saw that you ate a yummy chicken casserole this evening!

How nice of you! I hope you/I had a wonderful day there! :woohoo:

The day after Labor Day backed up to late August. Late August backed up to mid-August. Now mid August has become the first of August. Let's see what they have in store for us next year!!!

We did have chicken casserole, and it was good. I ate my portion and the small scoop that Brooklynn didn't eat when I was cleaning her plate. ;) She and Bella both stuck their tongues to the chicken casserole and the green beans, but they mostly filled up on macaroni and cheese. Kids will be kids! :goodvibes

We just stayed around the house all day. With the news that Sophie may arrive sooner than expected, Jill has a long list of things to get done quickly. Other than doing dishes, which is my favorite household chore, my job was to play with the girls. We watched Toy Story 3 and drew pictures. We played restaurant, and they took turns being the server. I didn't mind paying $5.99 for my plastic hot dog and onion rings meal, but I sent back the $8.99 milkshake! John mowed the lawn. Jill did laundry. She is getting to be kind of miserable, as she is having a lot of swelling in her feet when she is up and about. The doctor says BP is good and all is well with Sophie, so we will wait until the sonogram next week to make plans for her arrival.

The girls had gotten out one of the Mickey Halloween buckets yesterday, and at one point I said to Jill that by the time we see those again in WDW, all of her misery will be over, and Sophie will be riding along in her little pouch. I hope she is as good as Bella was at riding and sleeping in that thing. With Bella, it was like she wasn't even there. There was not one bit of an issue taking that baby to Disney World! :thumbsup2
