I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

I was texting with Heather about you today. She said she was at a mall and someone called out to her and asked if she was a DISer. She said she didn't get the whole name, but it was something Mama, she thought. I tried to think of GA people, and asked her if it was by chance reelmom, but I guess it wasn't you.

No, it wasn't me. No mall for us today. We were driving all over town looking for items for costumes. We are going to "Night at the Museum" at a Science Museum on Saturday evening. They are having people dressed as Inventers/Scientist/Science Fiction characters. They are giving the children autograph books for these characters. They are also having a childrens costume contest. The boys have decided on Star Wars costumes. I am not a crafty person and would rather buy a costume. Party City has some stuff but it is too far away from Halloween to have a lot.

Go ahead and tag team this one! There's plenty for the little ones to do while one goes ahead and draws!

Very sweet! I'm sure the girls were excited to see their surprise and Sophie's too! )

I look forward to seeing Sophie in her outfit.

We will get to that drawing room sooner or later! ::yes::

Love the classroom pictures, MeMom! You always do a cute job!

I hope you do the Animation Academy sometime! It's really fun.

Again, I loved the shopping pictures. I cannot wait to see this all in person SOON!

You have been very patient while you have been away for so long. Of course, I guess planning a big event helps fill that time with plenty to do! :goodvibes

I :lovestruc One Man's Dream. I am especially fascinated by Walt's office...oh, to have been a fly on the wall!!

Love the surprises you got for the girls.

I love seeing the movie and really learning more about the man and the development behind this place that has brought us so much happiness and so many new friends. :thumbsup2

I really like Disney's new retro stuff...very cool!

And I've been to Marceline. It's a happening spot....not!

Jill in CO

I have heard a review of it on a podcast before. I think it would be neat to see it in person. Don't know if that will ever really happen, though.

I love wandering around One Man's Dream. It really is fascinating to learn about the history of all of the things we love so much!

Ohhhh now I get the Scrabble letters!

I didn't want to just put random letters on the board. I wanted there to be a secret Disney meaning to them. ;)

Love One Man's Dream! No matter how many times I watch the movie, I still get teary eyed. Yep, I'm a sap like that ::yes::

I don't think you are alone. :)

You know, I've always thought about sneaking in an eraser to the animators class.
If I did, I would never be able to keep up. I think that's why they don't habe them. They move right along with the steps to draw your character. Just draw really light and then when you are happy go back over and darken in the lines.

Brooklynn's drawing would look way better than mine, eraser or no eraser. :goodvibes

Thanks for the pictures of DHS at night....love that place after dark! And I also love browsing the Disney art stores, as well. Something I probably won't be able to do until Seth is a little older and less rambunctious.

I NEED this for Ray!

The lights make it come to life!

John was looking at those t-shirts during the trip. I think he was thinking about getting a churros one, but I don't know if he ever did.

I love "One Man's Dream" Exhibit. I have yet to watch the movie. In Feb I went in while DH and the girls were ridding RRC. I was trilled to run into Danielle and her classmates. I was so proud that the exhibit make such an impression on her that she brought her school group through. She ended up being the most experience person with the parks so she kind of led the other kids around when the teachers let them loose after their classes.

I love the surprises you brought back for all the girls.

Danielle has been trained right. :thumbsup2

Seems like a fun relaxing evening at DHS! I've never tried the animation academy either. I get big ideas but I'm not much of an artist.

I'm so excited to see the new Fantasyland model! Thanks for showing your photos! It looks soooo cool!:thumbsup2 And of course the shopping pictures were awesome! They were especially great for helping me avoid packing for Indiana on Tuesday! Procrastination at it's finest!

The model was huge!
It really gets a person excited for the real thing yet to come!

Your classroom is very welcoming.:goodvibes You'll have to post new pics of Mr. Potatohead whenever he changes to his angry eyes  or a fun costume. pirate:

The King cupcake looks amazing & sounds intriguing. I'm not big on frosting, either, so it's interesting that you loved this frosting so much. We'll probably all split it, too. But we might have to split it top/bottom so I can skip the gooey filling and have all the yummy frosting!

I always do the Animation Studio, and DH almost always recognizes the character. DD usually joins me, & DH is thrilled to have downtime to sit down with a book and a glass of iced tea. I do prefer the paper-&-pencil version at DHS at to the electronic one at DTD. Brooklyn might like that she can erase on that one, but I have mixed feelings. I can get behind when I indulge my perfectionist tendencies and go back to erase.

The onesie for Sophie is awfully sweet. A perfect first Disney outfit!

My grade level team brought me a Disney cupcake cake today, and we all indulged. One teacher brought me the cupcake that had Mickey surfing, and I immediately took the surfboard and started scraping the frosting off. They thought I was crazy! Some of them were sticking their fingers in the frosting that I had put on the plate.

I think I would be better off watching a person draw than drawing myself, but I still want to try it once.

Yes, I have to agree with Mickey and Minnie, too -- those purchases were necessary! :goodvibes

I think a DIS meet in Marceline would be fun. I looked it up once, and it looked like there were a couple of Disney things there.

I heard of review of it on a podcast once. It would be interesting to go back in time and walk those streets.

I also love DHS at night.

Your purchases are very cute. Love the onsie & the bowls are adorable also. I wouldn't mind eating my cereal in that bowl.

The bowls did the job throughout the trip. They were often filled with grapes.

I need to get this Churros shirt for my nephews. I guess they ate these alot on their trip earlier this year. They loved them and so did their dad!

Loving the gifts for the girls. Baby Sophie will be so cute in that outfit and I bet the girls loved eating breakfast in the cereal bowls. You're a good memom.

We love doing the drawing. I've been in there with pretty small kids before. They seem to have fun. Even if they don't draw what everyone else is, they can still draw. If you've never been in they have light up tables to work at for everyone. I'd think Brooklynn and Bella could do it. If they like to draw or write at all, they'd probably have fun. But like you said, maybe you'll get time to try it on your spring trip and check it out.
Happy Birthday Memom!!

I didn't know they could go draw something else. We will definitely give it a try. :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday, MeMom!
Love that cute little onsie. Our last trip I was pregnant with dd2, but we didn't have an ultrasound before the trip, so I couldn't buy all the cute little pink things. I will make up for that next year when she has her first trip! :cloud9:

You will have much fun buying her cute Disney things. They are a little expensive, but they have some cute things for girls and for boys.

Nw that is very sweet!! He just got a HUGE grin on his face, when I read this to him!!!! Thank you for making his day!! Not sure we will ever get to TN, but it made him happy! :goodvibes:hug:

That made me smile just thinking about it.

-That's good!
-Good to know!

-I love the vintage Haunted Mansion print!
-The onesies are adorable!
-I think the jungle cruise model is really neat! I love the colors!
-I went to Marceline last summer (my grandparents live in Kansas City) and it was a really neat experience! The museum was really cool, but very quaint! My favorite part was that we got to go out to Walt's old barn and we could sign the inside of the house! I wrote a paragraph, and got a little teary eyed doing it!
-I would really enjoy a pillow with the "Here you leave today..." quote on it!
-They need to make a female version of the dole whip shirt!
-I agree with Mickey and Minnie!

!!!!!!!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEMOM!!!!!!!!

Very cool that you have been to Marceline. :thumbsup2

Jill looked at some pillows while we were there, but I don't think she bought any for her. She got one for Sophie's room, though.

:bday: Love your classroom this year!

Thanks. I hope we can learn and play and have a good year together!

Happy Birthday MeMom!:cake:party:

Happy, happy birthday, MeMom!

Happy Birthday MeMom! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday!

Jill in CO

Thank you guys for your birthday wishes. You are very sweet, and I am honored to call you my friends.

I just love all these shopping pictures, MeMom! You never miss a thing when it comes to photographing. Love the Dumbo and Pinocchio T-shirts along with those letter pins, definitely works as a family thing haha

Oh, One Man's Dream! I hate how I never got to go in there on my last trip. My friends just can't appreciate the man like I do, but I absolutely love the new display and you got such great pictures of it. So excited for when the actual expansion is all done! :goodvibes

Can't wait to see Brooklynn's and Bella's reaction to their new little gifts and I'm sure Sophie is already rearing to become a new Disney fanatic! :teeth:

Oh and I have one more thing to say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEMOM! :mickeyjum

Wishing you many more birthdays to come and Disney-filled magical years to follow!

I hope I have many more birthdays to share with my family and with all of my friends around the world, but in case I don't, I will be happy making the ones I do have fun and memorable. :)

I am sure Brooklynn and Bella will teach Sophie everything there is to know about Disney things. ::yes::

Happy Birthday!!! Hope your day is magical! :wizard:

I LOVE your classroom set-up! You are always so creative!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your pics of DHS at night...that's one of my favorite times to visit it! :goodvibes

Hollywood at night has an air of excitement to me. All the neon lights are neat. I feel the same way about Tomorrowland - I like the atmosphere there so much better at night.

First things first: Happy Birthday!!! Hope it's a good one!

Now, that cupcake looks devine! I've never seen it before, and it definitely looks like it's worth trying, that's for sure!! Mom's chicken dinner looks pretty good too (mainly for the cornbread haha)

I would totally go to a park myself too, it's really nice to just wander around the soak it all in! I had no clue there was a FLE thing in One Man's Dream, I would have loved to see it, haha! Next time!

Love all the merchandise pics, that's something I should clearly do more of haha.

That cornbread is good. The best cornbread I have ever had was at a place called Corky's Barbeque. I wish I could replicate it!

I had read about the Fantasyland display, and I knew that was something I could do without the girls being upset that I had done something without them. As it was, they never even knew I went anywhere. :goodvibes

No, it wasn't me. No mall for us today. We were driving all over town looking for items for costumes. We are going to "Night at the Museum" at a Science Museum on Saturday evening. Sounds like fun! I bet it won't be but another couple of weeks before they start getting tons of costumes in. Hobby Lobby had autumn and Christmas aisles and displays up when I was there on Saturday.

Those girls are so spoiled!!! Cute outfit for Sophie.

I wished you a happy birthday on facebook, but I will wish it again here because you deserve it!

Happy Birthday!!!!!! :dance3:

Happy Birthday Caren! Kaitlynn posted a pic of your cake on FB and it looked mighty tasty!

I think we should plan to do the drawing class in March. It really is fun and your students would enjoy seeing what you drew.

So I don't log in one day & I miss your birthday!!:sad2:

Happy Belated Birthday!!! :bday:

I hope it was a good one!!

I agree! You'd have so much fun; I really enjoyed it in January. Now I plan on doing it every trip!

Hey MeMom!! I am late but here for the party!!! Can't wait to read all about your trip.

:cheer2:Happy Belated Birthday!!! Hope it was a magical day.

Love your Toy Story classroom. Oh how I wish Jeremy had teachers that would do that. How exciting it would be to have a themed classroom to enjoy all year. Your students will have so much fun!

Love your pictures of Art of Animation. I might have to look into a night or two there when we go back in November. I love the theming, especially Cars Land. Jeremy will love that.

Love the gifts you got your girls! Sophie's outfit is adorable.

I would be all up for a dis meet in Marceline. We just got back from a work/leisure trip to the San Francisco area. Visited the Walt Disney Family Museum. Loved it!!!! They have the original model of Disneyland and Walt Disney's train is there. So much fun. I will have to report on it if I ever finish my one trip report and start the other one. :confused3

I am so sorry. I posted yesterday but did not wish you a Happy Birthday. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I hope you had a wonderful day.

I love the shopping pics you get. Makes me want to order everything I see. :rotfl2:

I hope you had a magical birthday.
