I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

Loving all the AoA pics! :thumbsup2

Everything looks so amazing!

I will be getting a tropical smoothie for sure! Yumm. :)

I hope it's warmer in January this time so we can enjoy the Nemo pool and not freeze getting back to the room.

Which section are you going to be staying in?

I don't think I've seen the paintbrush pens you are talking about.
Do you have a link to some pics?

We made it over to AOA, but it was starting to rain, so I spent my time shopping.
Marc wandered around and took pictures though. I haven't see his so I'm glad that you posted yours!

The cars section looks fabulous! A certain grandson of mine would love playing around there!

I love all the AoA pictures! Such a cool place to stay. Jacob would love that place. Thanks for taking so many pictures so we all can see them too! :)

Great pictures of AofA!!! :yay:

I'm so excited to be staying there next May!! My daughter and I will be staying at CSR for several nights and then switching to AofA the last four or five nights we're there. :goodvibes

I can't wait to see it all finished. :woohoo:

Love yhe light fixture with the artwork! Maybe they will get enough requests that they will start making desk/floor lamps to sell.:thumbsup2:

Thank you for the tour and the quality of your pictures are amazing!

Love the AoA tour. We are reserved at Poly in Feb but now I'm re-thinking

It's pretty cool, but I don't know if it's worth giving up the Polynesian!!!

Okay, just send it when you get the chance or private message me on FB will work too. If they have a favorite character they love, I can try to get a specific postcard.

Wow your school starts really early. Hope you have an awesome school year.

I love this shirt. I may have to get one for my oldest DD. Loved all the AoA photos, and the shopping ones.

This is the earliest we have ever started. They are toying around with a more balanced calendar. We'll see how parents respond to this. That will have some affect on what next year's calendar looks like.

I will message you. I don't think they would care what postcard they get. Bella loves Minnie and all the Princesses, and Brooklynn loves anything Animal Kingdom or just something from the Fab Five - they will just love getting mail. :)

AoA looks soooo amazing!! I tried to have us all stay there in the family suites this fall but I was overruled I wish I'd had these pictures to show my family! What amazing theming! I'll have to stay there someday!

MeMom - I was thinking of you today. There was a kid in the store today (a little guy, probably around 7) with his grandma and he was looking at all of the clothes going "MeMom do you like this? MeMom, how about this one? MeMom, this would look pretty on you!" :laughing:You don't hear "MeMom" too often up here! It was cute!

Another MeMom. :goodvibes I'm sure that MeMom was enjoying being with her little guy every bit as much as I love being with my girls.

I loved seeing all the AoA pics. I thing everything looks amazing-I'm really considering it for a next trip! The gift shop looks like a good one. I especially liked the Dory shirt about short term memory loss-or something like that!

Swimming hair looks like fun hair to me!

The gift shop was very nice. ::yes:: They had plenty of things to choose from for your own self or for taking home to others. :thumbsup2

It's nice to be back on the DIS!

I love Vermont! I've been there every summer of my life. I've never been there in the fall but I'd love to go some time. My mom and I have talked about going up for Columbus Day weekend before but we've never done it.

I love the AoA pictures! I can't wait to see the Lion King section when it opens.

I saw your March dates. If we go next year I'm not sure if it will be in January or during spring break. If we go in March, I won't overlap with you at all My break is the week before. I'd rather go in January, but it depends on my mom's work schedule.

I hope you get to go in January. Getting your pictures in the middle of winter helps me out a lot. ;)

AoA looks awesome!!! Your pictures are seriously making me want to stop by there just to check everything out. I LOVE that light fixture with the different sketches - so clever!!

The only bad thing is that the light is high, so it's hard to see all the pictures well. I hope you get to go over for a visit. :)

Wow, AoA looks sooo amazing! I hope it holds up and stays 'fresh' looking!

Question: Since they have the cars all on display in CarsLand does that cut down on the 'wow' factor of meeting Lighting and Mator in DHS?

I don't know about the Cars thing. The girls had a couple that they thought were especially cute, but I think they would have gladly had pictures taken again with the Cars in Hollywood.

The only negative I have read with AoA so far is that people are having issues with the air conditioning. Apparently it is motion activited, so it goes off in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping, and then it gets hot. That would be a drawback, for sure, and they may have fixed that issue since I have read about it.

Hoping you have a great day today!

The workshop was broken into two sessions. It wasn't horrible, and they fed us - bagels, fruit, and juice were there for breakfast. :goodvibes

Loved the pictures from AoA! The light fixture/chandelier made from sketches was very cool. And I love the Perry shirt you got a shot of.

Do you mind if I share these links with some clients I have that are going to AoA this fall? I've been trying to send them pictures when I can since the resort is so new and information about it is coming out in bits and pieces.

Take what you want, friend. :)

I love the pictures of AoA. We are spending our first night in a Little Mermaid room in September. I can't wait!

Little Mermaid for us in October - but only for one night.

Your AoA pictures are great and the theming is really well done.
I'm sure we'll be heading over there, as well as to Pop, for a visit during our next trip - I can't wait for my youngest to see the giant Lady!
And seeing as that trip is only weeks away those shopping pictures have me thinking that I should be starting to make a list...

So excited for you guys! :cool1: There is a lot to want in all of those shops.

They have a gelato section, too, and they will give you a sample. I tried the pistachio, and it was really good!

We are staying one night in Little Mermaid.

I don't have a link. The pens were in the first set of merchandise pictures we got a peek at. Anita wanted one, but there were not any there whenever I checked.

Yes, Hunter would love that area! :yay:

We enjoyed visiting and sharing the pictures with you.

Sounds like a nice long trip! I love long trips!!! :cheer2:

Thank you for the tour and the quality of your pictures are amazing!

Selling lamps would be an awesome idea! :thumbsup2

You are too kind! I don't know about amazing. I just point and shoot and hope for the best. I have a lot of blurry ones. :upsidedow

Loved the pics. The resort looks like so much fun.

What day are you there if I may ask? We are the 13-16.

Art of Animation just looks FANTASTIC! Wow, I'm seriously impressed.
(I have a feeling that this comment is basically identical to all the others. I'm sorry!)

Well, besides October I've got a cruise booked for June 1, 2013 which will be a BLAST!!! I also want to go Spring 2013 and I'm going to see if I can talk my brother into letting me take Caroline. She'll be 3 1/2 so I'd love to take her.

I also want to make NYE 2013/2014 work since I see there will be lots of DIS friends there!! NY next year is on a Wednesday, so I'll probably fly in the weekend before & stay that week.

Katie you have lots of great plans!! I'm hoping for a christmas break 2013 trip too :yay:

MeMom, AoA looks awesome!! My boys think the cars section is cool but the Nemo section looks amazing too. We are more likely to spend a bit less and stay POP again but we will definitely wander across that bridge!!

I think maybe the 10th. I will have to look.

It seems like the 13th may be a good day to meet. Katie and Anita will both be there by then. We are leaving on the 13th, though, so it will have to be in the mid-morning, most likely. We will have to get all of our stuff to luggage services before we head out for the day. We'll organize it more later. ::yes::

Most people who have seen it are happy with what Disney has done there. :thumbsup2 The food court is worth a visit, I think. There are some different offerings.

Christmas 2013 - looks like we've got another growing DIS meet in the works! :cool1:

We will be the same, I think. Pop will still be home, and we will stay at other resorts sporadically. That seems to work out nicely for us. We get to stay at different resorts a night or two at a time here and there, so we get the experience, but there's no way we could afford to stay at the more expensive ones and get to go very often. We prefer going more often than staying in the nicer resorts.

I'm excited about Christmas 2013! Seems like the list is getting longer and longer.

I think POP will stay our home as well.
I agree with staying at the nicer resorts a little here and there.
Like you said, I would rather go more often and stay at a value. :thumbsup2

One day I will have to book POLY cause it's Lexi's dream resort.
Beach Club is my dream.

My "girls" come home today!!! :dance3:
I'm ready for them to be back.

I gotta make Lexi's countdown calendar this weekend.
We only have 25 sleeps until we are there!!! :goodvibes

Gshshfjrndidjfnj!!!!! <-my emotions seeing all the AoA pics!! I cannot wait to stay in Sept!! (though were in the LM rooms) hoping for some amazing fun times, the resort looks great!!

We want to stay at least one night at Poly, too. Maybe it could be one of those 'last two nights of a Pop trip' things. :) Jill really wants to stay at Boardwalk, too. I am getting one of my dream stays in March - Beach Club!!! :cool1: I have already told Anita it will feel so good to sit in my solarium legally. ;)

Yay for a countdown calendar! :cheer2:

We will be in a Little Mermaid room in October. That's fine, though. The girls can still swim in the pools, and they will love the LM room. I figure we will stay in a suite one night sometime within the next couple of years.

******************************************

Now we are back at Pop Century.

June2012Part1148.jpg

I think this was the night Jill was craving the Mom's Night Out chicken, maybe.

June2012Part1149.jpg

I got one of these for us to share.

June2012Part1150.jpg

June2012Part1151.jpg

John's Shrimp Lo Mein and Jill's chicken dinner.

June2012Part1152.jpg

Brooklynn just wanted cereal, and Bella ate pasta. She loves rice and pasta, and she ate macaroni and cheese about ten times during the week.

June2012Part1153.jpg

Jill's crew was tired. Since the forecast was still calling for rain, and we had been up since way early in the morning, they decided to stay in and have an early bedtime.

Mickey and Minnie agreed.

June2012Part1154.jpg

But wait! I was in Disney World, and I was too excited to sleep! I went out to walk around some more. I just couldn't call it a day.

June2012Part1155.jpg

He said, "There's a lot of daylight left, MeMom!"

So, taking Tramp's comment to heart, I found myself here.

June2012Part1156.jpg

I decided to make a trip to the closest park.

June2012Part1157.jpg

I am not surprised that you headed out for the evening. The excitement of a new trip makes it hard to stay in...
Now, the question is, did you get rained on?

If had been dark, I would have given it a little bit of thought, because I was exhausted from camp, but since it was daylight and Jill didn't need anything from me in the way of help with the girls, I couldn't make myself stay in. ;)

Here are classroom pictures, for those who are interested. It's not entirely finished, but most of it is done.

This is my outside bulletin board.

ToyStoryclassroom2012016.jpg

I was concerned about what I was going to do about the apostrophe, but the Army came to the rescue.

ToyStoryclassroom2012015.jpg

Who can tell me what all of these letters stand for?

ToyStoryclassroom2012003.jpg

ToyStoryclassroom2012004.jpg

This is where the Nemo dock scene was last year. Since Andy's wallpaper had clouds, this background still worked.

ToyStoryclassroom2012006.jpg

ToyStoryclassroom2012007.jpg

ToyStoryclassroom2012008.jpg

The front bulletin boards inside the room.

ToyStoryclassroom2012001.jpg

ToyStoryclassroom2012002.jpg

Word Wall.

ToyStoryclassroom2012005.jpg

ToyStoryclassroom2012019.jpg

Forgive the mess. The other side of the room looks worse. ;)

ToyStoryclassroom2012020.jpg

In the back.

ToyStoryclassroom2012009.jpg

Small window. I think I will change the paper to yellow.

ToyStoryclassroom2012010.jpg

Near my desk.

ToyStoryclassroom2012011.jpg

Not finished. It will say Rounding Up Good Work.

ToyStoryclassroom2012012.jpg

Army men over the front board.

ToyStoryclassroom2012013.jpg

Dry erase markers are housed in the bucket.

ToyStoryclassroom2012014.jpg

Crayons and colored pencils will go here.

ToyStoryclassroom2012018.jpg

I found this for 99 cents at Disney Store.

ToyStoryclassroom2012017.jpg

I also have a big Slinky dog colored, but he's not cut out yet.

Anyway, that's my room for this year. When things get crazy, my Toy Story friends will help keep me sane.

Looks like you guys had a nice meal. I could've definitely gone for one of those King cupcakes :goodvibes

Aha, totally saw this coming! I knew you couldn't not go to the parks. Let's hope the weather forecast isn't right for your little solo romp (:

EDIT: Oh wow, my time is awful when I comment lol Anyways, love your classroom! You never fail to make it perfectly Disney-fied. I especially love the outside bulletin board! Seriously, why aren't there more teachers like you?

Cute! The army men did a great job with that apostrophe! If you need anything more in the way of plushes from TS3 I have the whole set that I used the year before last... I can put them in the box when I mail Brook's birthday gift!

Super cute room! Thanks for posting pictures!! I have decided there is something special about 2nd grade teachers. It's a special year and it's one where the teacher can make such a huge difference - the kids are really at the age to soak everything in. So Kudos to you and thanks for doing what you do. :thumbsup2

AoA looks fabulous! I can't wait to stay there one day.

I really enjoy staying at Pop. We (Mike and I) both agreed that it is better than any of the hotels we have stayed at. Although, I did enjoy SSR when we stayed there in May.

Your classroom totally rocks! All of the kids that walk through your door are so lucky to have a teacher like you.
