We made it over to AOA, but it was starting to rain, so I spent my time shopping.
Marc wandered around and took pictures though. I haven't see his so I'm glad that you posted yours!

The cars section looks fabulous! A certain grandson of mine would love playing around there!

I'm so excited to be staying there next May!! My daughter and I will be staying at CSR for several nights and then switching to AofA the last four or five nights we're there.

This is the earliest we have ever started. They are toying around with a more balanced calendar. We'll see how parents respond to this. That will have some affect on what next year's calendar looks like.

I will message you. I don't think they would care what postcard they get. Bella loves Minnie and all the Princesses, and Brooklynn loves anything Animal Kingdom or just something from the Fab Five - they will just love getting mail.

AoA looks soooo amazing!! I tried to have us all stay there in the family suites this fall but I was overruled I wish I'd had these pictures to show my family! What amazing theming! I'll have to stay there someday!

MeMom - I was thinking of you today. There was a kid in the store today (a little guy, probably around 7) with his grandma and he was looking at all of the clothes going "MeMom do you like this? MeMom, how about this one? MeMom, this would look pretty on you!" You don't hear "MeMom" too often up here! It was cute!

Another MeMom. I'm sure that MeMom was enjoying being with her little guy every bit as much as I love being with my girls.

I loved seeing all the AoA pics. I thing everything looks amazing-I'm really considering it for a next trip! The gift shop looks like a good one. I especially liked the Dory shirt about short term memory loss-or something like that!

Swimming hair looks like fun hair to me!

The gift shop was very nice. They had plenty of things to choose from for your own self or for taking home to others.

I love Vermont! I've been there every summer of my life. I've never been there in the fall but I'd love to go some time. My mom and I have talked about going up for Columbus Day weekend before but we've never done it.

I saw your March dates. If we go next year I'm not sure if it will be in January or during spring break. If we go in March, I won't overlap with you at all My break is the week before. I'd rather go in January, but it depends on my mom's work schedule.

I hope you get to go in January. Getting your pictures in the middle of winter helps me out a lot.

Question: Since they have the cars all on display in CarsLand does that cut down on the 'wow' factor of meeting Lighting and Mator in DHS?

I don't know about the Cars thing. The girls had a couple that they thought were especially cute, but I think they would have gladly had pictures taken again with the Cars in Hollywood.

The only negative I have read with AoA so far is that people are having issues with the air conditioning. Apparently it is motion activited, so it goes off in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping, and then it gets hot. That would be a drawback, for sure, and they may have fixed that issue since I have read about it.

The workshop was broken into two sessions. It wasn't horrible, and they fed us - bagels, fruit, and juice were there for breakfast.

Loved the pictures from AoA! The light fixture/chandelier made from sketches was very cool. And I love the Perry shirt you got a shot of.

Do you mind if I share these links with some clients I have that are going to AoA this fall? I've been trying to send them pictures when I can since the resort is so new and information about it is coming out in bits and pieces.

They have a gelato section, too, and they will give you a sample. I tried the pistachio, and it was really good!

We are staying one night in Little Mermaid.

Well, besides October I've got a cruise booked for June 1, 2013 which will be a BLAST!!! I also want to go Spring 2013 and I'm going to see if I can talk my brother into letting me take Caroline. She'll be 3 1/2 so I'd love to take her.

I also want to make NYE 2013/2014 work since I see there will be lots of DIS friends there!! NY next year is on a Wednesday, so I'll probably fly in the weekend before & stay that week.

It seems like the 13th may be a good day to meet. Katie and Anita will both be there by then. We are leaving on the 13th, though, so it will have to be in the mid-morning, most likely. Most people who have seen it are happy with what Disney has done there. The food court is worth a visit, I think. There are some different offerings.

Christmas 2013 - looks like we've got another growing DIS meet in the works!

We will be the same, I think. Pop will still be home, and we will stay at other resorts sporadically. That seems to work out nicely for us. We get to stay at different resorts a night or two at a time here and there, so we get the experience, but there's no way we could afford to stay at the more expensive ones and get to go very often. We prefer going more often than staying in the nicer resorts.

John's Shrimp Lo Mein and Jill's chicken dinner.

Brooklynn just wanted cereal, and Bella ate pasta. She loves rice and pasta, and she ate macaroni and cheese about ten times during the week.

Jill's crew was tired. Since the forecast was still calling for rain, and we had been up since way early in the morning, they decided to stay in and have an early bedtime.

Mickey and Minnie agreed.

But wait! I was in Disney World, and I was too excited to sleep! I went out to walk around some more. I just couldn't call it a day.

He said, "There's a lot of daylight left, MeMom!"

So, taking Tramp's comment to heart, I found myself here.

I decided to make a trip to the closest park.

If had been dark, I would have given it a little bit of thought, because I was exhausted from camp, but since it was daylight and Jill didn't need anything from me in the way of help with the girls, I couldn't make myself stay in.

I really enjoy staying at Pop. We (Mike and I) both agreed that it is better than any of the hotels we have stayed at. Although, I did enjoy SSR when we stayed there in May.
