I am definitely seeing more life in my girl this morning. Walking is slow and a little painful. She has plenty of pain meds to get her through this first bit. Sophie is beginning to nurse again. Bella wants to know if Mommy is going to pull her shirt up and let Sophie bite her.

Hopefully we will see steady improvement day by day. A week from now, I am betting she will be a new person.

That great news! I'm so glad Sophie is nursing again. Those are special moments for a mother and her child.

I haven't been able to get on the boards for the past week and it appears you had a LOT happen in that week! First of all congratulations on the arrival of precious Sophie! I'm so thankful that your prayers have been answered. It truly is amazing to see the power of prayer at work. It is so comforting to know that in the midst of life's storms God is truly in control and that everything works together for good.
I will continue to pray for Jill's recovery and for your family.

Hello Memom and family! I've been gone for a few months now but I checked back in today and Sheree told me that you guys had been through quite a lot while I was away. Boy, she wasn't kidding! I'm so sorry for all the turmoil your family has been through lately. But you did get one beautiful baby girl out of all of it, that's for sure. Congratulations to all of you and I will be sure to thank the Lord in my prayers for seeing you all through Jill's health scare. I'm so so so glad to hear she is doing well and is back home!

Jill had her first real night at home as Mommy to Sophie. Thursday night, I still kept Sophie with me, as Jill desparately needed the sleep, her pain was still a big factor, and she was just getting Sophie back into nursing. Yesterday, the pain lessened a bit, and she got a little more life in her, so she felt ready to have Sophie for the night. Seeing that sweet little angel in Mommy's arms in the bed was a pretty happy way to start this day.

Again, we cannot thank you all enough for all of the calls, texts, private messages, cards, food, thoughts, prayers, and everything you have done over the past week and a half. DIStown is, indeed, a special place to be, and we are honored to be a part of it and to know each of you and your families.

We are already looking forward to taking Sophie on her first trip to Disney World! Won't it be a grand celebration to be there again with the family happy and healthy and ready to experience all of the new things that are going on in Fantasyland?!?!?

Maybe if today is a somewhat normal day, I will find the time to continue with some trip pictures.

I'm so happy to hear that things are getting back to normal! I'm also really happy that Sophie is nursing again. As a soon-to-be second time mom, all this has really hit home with me, and that was one of the things that was at the forefront of my mind. I'm so happy for both of them, its so wonderful they were able to pick up where they left off.
