Got final results today! I have Hashimoto's Disease that caused all of the lymph node enlargement and abnormal blood tests. The pathology specialist that reviewed the biopsy said that there is NO worry for cancer. Probably the biggest sigh of relief my wife and I have had in a long time. Celebrating tonight. Looks like I will be on the cruise next year after all!

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and words of encouragement during this difficult time.

I rejoice with you my fellow North Carolinian. Enjoy your cruise!

That's great news. I, too, have Hashimoto's Disease. I was diagnosed in 1997 after a co-worker (a nurse) noticed that my thyroid looked enlarged. I had a needle biopsy and have been taking Levoxyl (a generic of Synthroid) and Cytomel ever since. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

Praise God, I am so happy and relieved for you and your family that the scare is over!!! I was just reading your other post that mentioned possibly an 'autoimmune disease' of thyroid and wondered if you had Hashimoto's Disease?!?! Then thought - Naaaa....surely the medical field would not have problem diagnosing something so relative simple?!?!

I can only imagine your feeling of relief, joy and praise!! Thankfully, Hashimoto (which I have had for yrs) is treatable and managable in most cases with a simple pill :goodvibes. Time to celebrate!! :cheer2:

Didn't I warn you our board had special powers???? :wizard:

PS - love the pic of you and your wife, also you adorable children!! :goodvibes
