I don't get it!

I just read on this board that the park tickets are going up on Jan. 2. Are the prices for the new ticket plans good now or not? I thought that it starts on Jan 2. It seems very strange to give us prices for something that doesn't start to until Jan and then let us know that the prices are going up the same day. I may be missing something. I want to get a 10 pass that never expires and for sure at the lower price. Can I do that now? I didn't see the 10 days option here only 7. I saw the 10 day on mousavers. I need some help! I don't want Jan 2 to come before I know what I can do.

Prices are not "going up" on 1/2/05, rather WDW is changing its entire ticket structure. Those taking short trips will likely pay more in the past, while those with longer trips (or at least longer passes) will pay a lower per-day average than under the old "Hopper" structure.

They are also making things like Plus features, pass expiration and park hopping optional. If you don't need those features, you don't have to pay for them.

No. The new posted ticket options and associated pricing are effective January 2, 2005.
