Are you talking about the retail stores on the ship? If I remember correctly, they are closed when we are at port. They are not open 24 7.

Since the shops are duty-free, they can't be open while the ship is in port. There used to be an agreement with the port of Philipsburg, St. Maarten, where they could open the shop for the last hour or so that the ship is in port. I don't know if they still do this. The ports don't want a duty-free shop open on the ship when passengers could be spending money on land.

Similarly, a cruise ship's casino is often closed when the ship is in port.

IMHO, cruise ships most likely set up "sucha deal" with their ports of call, by getting you to spend your money with the local trade, therefore closing the ship's shops. (or is that "ships' shops"?)

Pardon Me, your Zurgness, but would you as so kind as to mention what movies are being shown on the ship at this time?

I shall be embarking a few hours after y'all debark (Ruff! Ruff!) and would like to plan our activities on our 3-Day adventure. I've peeked at B&T's Feb. Navs, but wondered if the movies changed since then.

One last query, are the movies shown in the room ones that are the new releases at Blockbuster, etc. or pre-release?
