I'm back! :sad2: Although I don't want to be!

Tom and I had a brilliant holiday, returning this morning, and getting back to Taunton a couple of hours ago.
I am hoping to do a TR (I took enough photos to do one without words I think!), but I just wanted to post some highs and lows.

Highs

Flight to MCO - our plane changed to a refurbished one at the last minute, and so we were sat in the front of economy in the bubble. The inflight entertainment is wicked, allowing you to stop and start films, the only problem is that there re too many to choose from! The cabin crew were also amazing, we really were spolit. :lovestruc

Coronado Springs - I've never really heard any good things about CSR, but I loved it. We stayed in Ranchos 7B and it was ideal - close to the car park and bus stop 4, 5 minute walk to main pool and 10 minute walk to Reception. Having said that, if we stay onsite again, I would love to try somewhere else. :cutie:

Weather - apart from the storm we drove to the hotel in, we didn't see a speck of rain! In fact, a couple of days it was *too* hot (and I hate to say that!). :lmao:

Crowds - it was busier than we expected as it was Colombus day the first week, but it was still not a patch on Christmas! The longest ride wait we waited for was about 30 minutes :)(although unbelievably Peter Pan was almost always 40 minutes, and Toy Story hit 90 minutes a couple of times!)

Keys to the Kingdom tour - my birthday present... AMAZING! :thumbsup2

MNSSHP - we stayed in the park for 13hours, leaving gone midnight! So glad we dressed up too, we got great reactions from everyone, even though we just had tshirts, nothing spectacular. :woohoo:

There are so many more, but I would be here all night if I named them all! :wizard:

Lows

Wheelchairs and buses - this only happened once, but it did bug me a lot. We waited for a bus from DTD to CSR and 2 scooters went to the front to get on the bus. Absolutely fine, totally understand. However, once on the bus, they sat on seperate seats, therefore taking up 8 seats in total! I just couldn't understand it! :confused3

Flight to LGW - because, we had such an amazing flight out, we had been spolit. Therefore, the flight back was comparatively much worse, through no fault of anyones. My TV unit wasn't working, we weren't offered a drink until at least 3 hours into the flight, and the light above us flickered constantly until they turned them all off. And it probably didn't help that we were heading home!:sad2:

I'm going to start my Photopass photos tomorrow after college (and the dishes, and the food shopping, and the laundry...) and once the disk comes back and my pictures are all sorted, and we start the videos, I'll start my TR :goodvibes

Welcome home!

Glad you had a wonderful trip. :goodvibes

Please please do a trip report. I'd love to hear about the Keys to the Kingdom tour and your night at MNSSHP. x

it really is sad coming home :sad1:

you sound like you've had a fab time, highs outweigh the lows :goodvibes

look forward yo reading your trip report :)

Welcome home :)

Glad you had a great time. I agree with you regarding the bus situation. We experienced it quite a few times when we were there and understand how frustrating it is!

Can't wait for the TR :goodvibes

Welcome home.
Keys to the Kingdom is a great tour.:thumbsup2
We really enjoy MNSSHP, done about 5 and 2 at Disneyland CA, great fun.

If you were not happy with your flights home complain, They usually offer a few miles to your account if nothing else.
I complained to Delta, I know I had paid for business class and the service should be top notch but just because we had a slight delay taking off and not offered a drink on departure we got 75,000 airmiles (25,000 each) it allowed us to get a free one way flight in economy this year when added to the miles we already had.

Welcome home!

We loved CSR

On the wheelchairs - they are asked to move off for safety issues and sit in a regular seat if possible. It used to drive us crazy too esp this time of year as there seems to be more of them. Once we had 2 scooters and they took 10 seats as the people in them where so fat! We drive to the parks where possible now :rolleyes1

Welcome home. We just got back yesterday and we really did not want to leave either.

Thankyou my dear! I am trying to catch up with al the TR's I've missed whilst being away, yours included! I will do a report... although I won't go into too much detail with the tour as I don't want to give away the game, so if you want some more details I'll gladly PM you :)

The highs definately outweighed the lows!

Thankyou hun! The bus thing only happened once, but it really bugged me!

We had such a brilliant time at the party, and learnt so much on the tour! :thumbsup2
I think we will complain - like I said, the cabin crew did all they could, they offered me a DVD player (which as it turned out they didn't have enough of), offered to move me to a different seat (by myself, so I declined), and gave me a headphone adaptor so I could watch/listen to what Tom was watching (which I accepted, but didn't use!)
So we'll see :)

Welcome home!

Thankyou for clarifying about the health and safety aspect of the wheelchairs. I understand that it has to be done, and like I said, we only experienced it once! We did drive most of the time, but we did catch the bus in the evenings when Tom wanted a drink! :rotfl:

Welcome home. We just got back yesterday and we really did not want to leave either.

Welcome back! I still don't want to be back! :rotfl2:

Hello and welcome back hun!

I'm very excited for your trip report, it's a while yet until my next trip so i'm having to live my Disney adventures through others! :rotfl:

And like I told you, me and my DBF are planning on going in October, probably 2014 the way finances are looking, so I'll be very interested to read about MNSSHP, crowds etc

I'm glad you had a good trip, but then again, who wouldn't in Disney :goodvibes

We are staying at CSR for the first time in December (we have stayed at other resorts and fancied trying this one) - any tips for us? Did you use cafe Rix, was it busy on a morning? Thanks :thumbsup2

Nah not pathetic.Tbh we hadn't been for 2 years prior to this visit and it wasn't that I wasn't looking forward it was kinda just we're going to the meh same old place again. But once I got to Magic Kingdom on the first day you couldn't get me away,I wanted to go to Disney every day I was out there I was like a kid all over again. One day we were in MK until 1am and was near enough the last people leaving and even managed to get a pic infront of the castle before the photographer finished. My love for Disney has grown so much more since being there again,I can't wait to go back.

Yes I was worried as the was the 4th year in a row but I loved it just as much. DH is even keen I get it booked ASAP. We just love that carefree feeling you get when you are there.

Aw thanks, Louise! I constantly live through others, it's nice to be able to be the one posting the report! :lmao:

Hehe! No real tips I'm afraid, we didn't use the hotel as much as we should have! We didn't go to Rix, apart from to use our refillable cups. We did go to Pepper Market once, which was really nice, as it was something different to burger and fries! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great trip looking forward to the TR x

Thankyou hun :)

Back home today-feel your pain

It's sad

Never too early... we're going next Christmas, my crazy Grandad is taking 12 of us, so I can't wait to take them to experience all the new things we did!

We are looking at going again next year LOL. So down the last couple of days it's pathetic really.

I've been really down too since Sunday! :confused3

We were in MK until 1230, didn't get back to the car until just before 1am! And we also got a photo after closing time!

I think as it's always changing slightly, the magic never wears off. Espeically if you do different things! We did MNSSHP and a tour for the first time! :thumbsup2
