I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

I just wanted to jump in & share my opinions!! Haha!
I saw Pooh last night! It was adoooorrrable! A classic, (though some of the voices weren't spot on, which, bothered me a slight tad? Haha, not really, but there was that thought of "that's not the right voice!" kind of thing) I would really recommend it, and stay through the credits, they're also super cute.

HARRY. Oh. MY. GOSH. I've lined up at midnight for both parts of the 7th, and did like them a lot. I saved RE-reading the 7th until after seeing the movie, although I was still judging going "that is NOT how it happened in the books" but you still appreciate it.

WWOHP: Fantastic! Although, when we went, we only did that, and the Jurassic Park ride, not really worth the 90 to get into Universal, I wish we had done more. I would love to go back, but I'm going to wait a while, so that they have time to expand & build more attractions, but it was an amazing experience!!

Just caught up - the changes to your August trip are great! Sounds like a fun trip! :) Happy Belated Birthday Dawn! :) The WWOHP is great - we loved visiting. The Forbidden Journey ride is great and I loved all the shops and butterbeer! :)

Thank you! We are excited to be bringing Josh for his first trip and he's just a big kid so he'll be a lot of fun :)

I guess we must make time for WWOHP next year then!

Thanks for the positive reviews on Harry and Pooh. I guess we need to make time to go see them :thumbsup2

We went to Uni/IOA about 3 years ago and one of the few attractions I did was Jurassic Park. That ride was a lot of fun. After all of you saying how great WWOHP is I guess we have to fit it in next year!

Here are a couple pics of her all dolled up before we left

WOW Caitlin, you look beautiful ....though really, when you are just hanging out at WDW or going for a run, you look beautiful so how could a fab dress NOT add to thtat?

and love your handsome date (I love a man in uniform!)....and uhhhh am I correct that this young handsome man's name is Josh???? because he looks a lot like the new BF mentioned further on in your TR..

Sorry that you did not win but mmm well if you left with a scholarship and a very nice date, well then maybe you did win??:goodvibes

Unfortunately, our car didn't fair as well. When we got home we discovered a 7 foot tree limb had dropped onto Dale's car :scared1: and demolished the windshield and severely damaged the car's roof. The claims adjuster came this morning so we're hoping they get to the repairs asap! Despite the storm and lack of power we still had a fun weekend and we hope you all did too! :goodvibes

so did they fix Dale's car? that really bites! Weather has been wicked around the country this summer.

But before I let you go I will leave you with pics of our Beach Club photo shoot

Your photos are great!

and happy belated birthday Dawn (see how far behind I am)

I had all these other great comments because your collective stories (I love the mother daughter thing!) are great and your photos make me smile. but sadly I fell asleep on my laptop last night after I finished reading your pages (not that they were boring but it was near midnight) so I am commenting 7 hours after reading....

Looking forward to reading on...and seeing how Josh enjoys WDW later this summer!

Hi! Glad you're all caught up!

Caitlin says "thank you" and as her proud mom I will totally agree. She is a lovely girl inside and out!

Yes the escort at the pageant is the bf. They have been together everyday since that evening. Sort of like a Disney fairytale :cutie:

Dale's car is still in the shop! Rather than total the car AAA is having it repaired which means an entirely new roof. Apparently it takes awhile to get a roof from the manufacturer :confused3 so we may be another week before we get it back. Very frustrating!

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Glad you're enjoying the TR! :goodvibes

Still reading but loving the reviews!! You guys are great. I can't believe how many pictures you took and I am only on page 28... Love all the pictures of Saratoga Springs, never been there so it was nice to see all the pics. And I agree Stormalong Bay rules!! :cool1:Can't wait to keep reading!!

Aww thank you :)

We do take tons of pictures  Caitlin has her camera and Dale and I share one so by the end of a trip we have a crazy amount!

Saratoga Springs is lovely and we really enjoyed our visit!

We are hoping to go back to either the BC or YC next year. Stormalong Bay is the best :thumbsup2

An MEK tribute photo and I can't see it now. Wahhhhhhhh! I'll be checking back later when I get to a home computer.

Sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful birthday!!!!!!

Ok so I finally caught up.. What a great trip so far! Can't wait for the rest. Happy Belated Birthday Dawn.

How exciting about Caitlin and her new BF , and that you get to take him to Disney!! Soo fun!!

Dawn/Caitlin

I started reading your report the last few days over lunch and enjoyed.

Wanted to ask about the star wars characters. Was this during the star wars weekends? I didn't know if Chewy is a regular now. If so, my kids (and husband) would love it. We always visit the week before Labor day, so star wars characters all year would be great!

Thanks, Kristin

You are Caitlin's favorite Dis-photographer and have given her some artistic inspiration :) Hope you like it!

We're all really excited that Josh is joining us. He is a lot of fun and will be a great addition to our group :)

Hi Kristin! Thanks for joining us :goodvibes

We were there 2 weeks before SWW and they had the characters out "practicing". I don't think they are there any other times besides SWW. Sorry!

Are you going the week before Labor Day this year? That's when we're going :)

I LOVE my tribute picture! It's awesome! Heck - I love all the pictures. They are all really good. Love the picture in the nosebleed section of the baseball stadium. Love seeing Dale on stilts. Wow - it really does look like a fun, fun day.

Oh - and Caitlin - your BF is a really cutie! :thumbsup2 I think I'm probably too old to call him a hottie.

Yes! This will be are third time going right before Labor Day. We are super excited because our last visit was in 2008. It just works out well for us, lower crowds, free dining, and right before the school year starts. We will be at POR 8/26 - 9/4.

Darn, I was hoping we would see some Star Wars characters. I told my twins (11 year old boys) they are proably too old (and big) to get picked for Jedi training.

Caitlin says "thank you". She's enjoying getting more creative with photography.

Dale was quite proud he could walk on the stilts. I however couldn't quite get the hang of it

I agree that Josh is a cutie +/or a hottie  but the best thing is he is a lot of fun.

We'll be at Pop the 29th- 2nd. Although now that our guys are joining us I wish it was longer! This was just supposed to be a quick bonus trip for me and Caitlin but since we booked the planes like 6 months ago it's too costly to change it. Maybe we'll run into each other at the parks!

If it's been 3 years you must be really excited!! For Jedi Academy they now have a signup sheet for the kids rather than picking volunteers at the show. Go early in the day and have their names added. They'll have so much fun!

*Sorry it has taken me so long to post an update! Josh has been sick so I am trying to take care of him

After our photo shoot on the beach we continued on our walk to Epcot. We were going through the International Gateway the path we fell in love with on our last trip :cloud9:

Just before our gate they had a grassy area covered in flowers that just looked beautiful!

disneyday3227.jpg

It turned out that Disney was using this area to experiment and see what flowers worked best in the Florida weather!

disneyday3228.jpg

My dad (the gardner of the family) really enjoyed this!

disneyday3229.jpg

My dad and I took pictures around the area while we waited for my mom to catch up to us.

After she caught up to us we headed on our way to Japan for my mom to receive the other half of her Easter present! Her gift from me and my dad was a pick a pearl cage and she needed a pearl to put inside!

When we got to Japan we bought one oyster to open since we had heard sometimes people get twins!

disneyday3111.jpg

My mom and I participated in the ceremony together by bowing and counting in Japanese! It was a lot of fun!

The pearl my mom got was 7 millimeters and very pretty!

disneyday3248.jpg

Here is a pic of her pearl with the necklace.

disneyday3250.jpg

Since she only got one I had to go buy another oyster and get in line again. Unfortunately the line had grown while my mom was getting her first one and both of my parents went to go watch Davy Jones at the Flower Power concert.

These are the only pictures I took of my pearl ceremony.

This is my necklace with the pearl.

With my parents reserving seats I headed over to Germany to grab another snack I knew I needed to try. Unfortunately they didn't have any carmel apples left but I grabbed something else. The CMs told me the gnomes had come in and eaten them all! I hurried back to the concert area and the show had already started when I got there.

disneyday3251.jpg

I took a picture of the what ended up being the best snack I had ever had in Disney World!

disneyday3253.jpg

A carmel and chocolate covered apple! It was so amazing!!!

While I was eating we were entertained by Davy Jones. My parents grew up watching reruns of The Monkees and I had, had a crush on Davy Jones after we went to a Monkees concert one year. This year I was not very impressed.

At one point I told my mom he reminded me a lot of my grandpa

disneyday3116.jpg

disneyday3118.jpg

That is if my grandpa wore a sparkly fedora :confused3 I don't think the Ryan Evans look is a good look for the older crowd  (HSM reference)

disneyday3272.jpg

In some of these pictures he looks like he forgot where he was

After the concert we headed to our third park for the day! Which my mom will continue on a later date ;)

Great update! I really want to go to Flower & Garden one day; I love the princess topiaries. :goodvibes

Pick-a pearl looks like so much fun! It's on my Disney bucket list for sure. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the concert. I am always there for the summer ones, but I rarely stop and watch. I really should sometime!
