Roger wants to go in August and have us each get one. He wants to get the symbol for the Masons (he's a Mason) on his left bicep. I have changed my mind about getting initials for my tattoo. He says he thinks tattoos are sexy and today he asked this woman in a gas station who had one on her chest whether it hurt or not. So, now I have to decide where and what.

get a little bitty Tinker Bell on your bikini line.

I don't have any tatoos, though

he asked this woman in a gas station who had one on her chest whether it hurt or not.

What did she say? LOL Just curious as to why you want one? You really don't seem very excited about the idea.

I just got number 4 and 5 a few weeks back. THEY DO NOT HURT!!!!!!! They really don't! But if you don't want it don't get it. Seriously this is something that is going to be with you FOREVER (well there is VERY expensive Surgery). GO NOW and start looking for something you like. Don't just go in and say....hummm that Butterfly is pretty. It doesn't work that way!!

I had my Tinkerbell drawn and also the kitten on my ankle bracelet. Mickey and Minnie were drawn. The one on my back took me about a month to decide on.

The other is John's name across my ring finger so it was simple.

John and I know the man who does the tattoos and he says there are countless people who come in and after 5 minutes say "Oh I want this one!" 5 minutes to decide on something that will be on you FOREVER...not a smart idea!

ChiTownZee, she said it did hurt (a lot!). At first, I wanted to do it because I like tattoos and now that Roger has said that they're sexy, I want to do it because I know he'll like it (and because he has kind of dared me.)
Beauty, I would never do it after five minutes of thinking about it, but I do think they look good. I like tattoos....I just don't know where and what.

Mine didn't hurt. When I think of pain on a scale of LABOR pain...a tattoo isn't even in the same catagory PERIOD! Now Stan says (our friend who does them) that directly on the bone hurts much more....rib area! Mine are on my lower back, forearm, belly button area, finger and ankle and it isn't even something that would have brought tears to my eyes.

I mean it isn't a wonderful feeling or anything but it is simply nothing like you are thinking.

Beauty, how did you know that I'm a scaredy cat? LOL

Because I was scared too! I have wanted a Mickey and Minnie tattoo for as long as I can remember. We are talking Jr. High. So when I turned 28 and STILL wanted it I knew that I had thought about it enough. I was scared!! So I went to the shop and looked through books and finally found a Mickey in one pic and Minnie in another and had Stan put them together. I also made my appt.

I stressed and was scared to death the day of the Appt. Well when I sat down and heard the needle buzzing the chicken really tried to come out in me. I scrunched up my eyes waiting for just unthinkable pain.....and it never came. The first time he touched me it was mild irritation...

I said "Thats it?" He said "Yep!" I couldn't believe it....it was absolutly NOTHING like what I would have thought!

The fear is the main reason I haven't done it yet, but Roger is sure I'm going to back out again and I am going to go through with it this time.

Stephen just got a tattoo last Saturday. It's the Tom Corbett Space Cadet rocket ship, in honor of me! It's really cool, but he said he'll never get another one. He said it was so painful. It's on his outside ankle, right up the bone.

I want to get one, but Stephen's not 100% on the idea. I'll wait until he knows for sure. I don't usually let him tell me what to do, but this is important. I was the Beauty and the Beast Broadway logo of just the outline of Beast holding a rose. I love that.

Becki, good luck to you and have fun choosing what you want!

I think I might have an idea but I have to think about it more. Today, I asked him why he didn't get a 49ers symbol done instead of the Mason symbol. He said I should get the 49ers symbol (he was just playing), but I wonder if I could do something combining the 49ers symbol and the Broncos symbol. I have to actually figure out what, now.

I have tattoo on the outside of my anke.it did hurt, but nothing that i could not stand.Mine is a sun,the outline is what hurt the most.I am happy with the one i have, but that is gonna be it for me.My sister has 4 and wants to get another one:o .She is the reason i have the one i got,she come to where i worked and showed me hers and told me i was a P**** if i did not have one:p ,so i went as fast as i could and got one(we have the same one on our ankle.)

Kelli I'm laughing because Stephen said it hurt.....Stan says that he ALWAYS has much more problems with men saying how bad it hurts. I tell ya....its because they haven't ever been through anything like LABOR PAIN!!!!

He said he has actually had men to pass out while women say "whats the big deal?" I find that hillarious!

I'm proud of John though. He has three now and I can look at him and tell it bothers him more than me.
