On June 28th I ordered 3 DVDs on-line from the Best Buy web site. As of today, July 26th, I still had not received them. I called their "customer service" number and had to go through the l-o-n-g process of their automated system before I finally got to speak to a REAL PERSON!! She said her name was Rose, and she had a foreign accent and I could tell she was well-rehearsed in the things she was supposed to say. Gave her the order number and she looked it up and said two of the three DVDs "had been returned." WHAT??!! I told her I had never RECEIVED them, therefore I couldn't have RETURNED them!!! She kept insisting I had returned them!!

The third DVD should have arrived by July 19th, so it is now classified as "lost" so she re-ordered that one, then said I would have to re-order the other two on-line myself. Nope. Asked to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold and came back a couple of minutes later. Said she had "told her supervisor of my concerns" (yeah, I'm sure she did!!) and she would help me with the re-ordering process. Geesh!! What a pain!!

I've ordered on-line at Best Buy a few other times and never had a problem like this. Has anyone else had trouble ordering from them on-line?

I don't like Best Buy...their return policy STINKS! That's just my opinion..

Hope you can get your situation fixed!!

I feel ya'll's pain.

IMHO, Best Buy has the WORST customer service of ANY company I have dealt with in a loooong time.

Non-responsive on the phone. Non-responsive to e-mail (just a canned yada yada response that solves nothing.)

My wife had a laptop that she had to return for service. It was not out of warrany, but they delayed shipping it so it WAS by the time HP got it. Major fight there, but we won. We specifically told them NOT to reformat the HD due to some files on it we could not afford to lose.

They took too long, HP LOST the computer, said it was BB's fault. Then BB said they had it & shipped to to someone in ATLANTA !!

She ended up just telling them to screw it, got a refund & went elsewhere.

3 weeks later we got a letter stating the computer was at the BB store in Jax & was ready for pickup!!

Morons.

We WILL N-E-V-E-R shop there again. I don't care HOW good the price is.

And they can take their foreign customer service center & tear it to the ground, for all the good it is worth.

Wow I have never had a problem with Best Buy. I even bought the extended warranty on our Sony HDTV, and thank goodness I did, we just had to have a part replaced and between the part's price and the tech coming out twice it has paid for itself. I think it may need one more slight adjustment so now it's just icing on the cake. I have extended warranties on our computers too and they techs at Best Buy have always been helpful and able to fix the problem. Maybe I am lucky and have a good store here!

I just bought a cable modem from them because they were having a GREAT deal - buy the modem for $60, sign up for 6 months of comcast service for $20/month, get a $50 BB gift card and a $60 rebate on the modem in the mail. I thought how can I lose? Here's how - they ran out of the modems that were on special for that week so they got me one that would be on special next week and told me to come back then to get the rebate form for it. They only printed me 1 of the 2 pages I needed so I had to call customer service - I tell them my problem and they say "I'm sorry but you can't have your $60 because you didn't buy the modem in the time frame for his rebate" The guys at the store swore up and down that I would have no problem with this because I was a little concerned even then. I have yet to go back to my store but plan to. I am a very unhappy customer right now.

I'm glad to hear it isn't just my family. My father bought a router, two wires, and something else off of Best Buy's website in the beginning of December. Plan was to have it for Christmas to go with the new computer (which thank goodness did NOT come from Best Buy). Christmas came and went, and the items were "still being processed." Then in mid-January, one of the wires showed up (ok great, a cable, but nothing to connect it too), by late January the other one showed up along with the fourth item, but still no router. After numerous phone calls, they finally ordered another one for us and we received it in mid-February. Nothing like two and a half months to get what you ordered. If we knew it would take that long, obviously we would have went and bought it ourselves.
Second story:
My roommate bought a computer there, and she has been having problems with it so she took it there to be serviced. It took them almost a month just to get around to looking at it, and when they did they told her she needed a new harddrive and it would cost $300. Now there very well may be some, but even most of the hard drive's best buy sells do not cost that much, and they certainly shouldn't be charging $250 for labor. I did the whole thing for her, and spent under $50.
