I did my first 25 crunches this morning.... did you exercise?

and I plan on doing another 25 tonight, I can tell I'm out of shape because while I was doing them, my muscles were shaking, which is usual in the first few days after they haven't been used for a while.
Gradually I will increase the amount of crunches , but I have to start low.
So have you started your exercise yet?? whatever that may be, every little bit helps.
 
yup did my crunches this morning 275 in 16 minutes. Have the gym tonight, and weights and walking still to do...

I have started mine today too! I bought the WATP video yesterday and did my first mile as soon as I got up! I've had 3 glasses of water and may go do another mile before lunch!

I wait until nap time for my daycare kids. In order for me to do crunches, I need to lay on my bed...a mat just won't do it. My spine sticks out too far for me to do them anywhere else.I have had scoliosis since childhood and this is the only remaining symtom of it. When I was a child, I was excused from situps in Phys Ed because my back would end up with bruises along my spine from trying to do them on the hard gym floor. I don't cheat with the bed though, although if I wanted to bounce a little I could :p . :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
 

Yup! I'm back from Curves and fresh out of the shower. I didn't feel great this a.m. but no way was I gonna miss my workout. (I cannot even believe it is ME saying that! LOL)
 
Nope, I haven't done mine yet. But I will tonight. I did a mile WATP last night and will definelty do one of the tapes tonight (after all weigh in is tomorrow :o ). I woke up early this morning & knew I should get up and get in a mile this morning, but lazed in bed instead. Oh well, I promise (Lord willing) I will do it tonight.

Way to go everyone else. You're doing great!! :bounce:
 
I'm proud to say that yes, I did exercise this morning. BUT - bad me, I didn't do it at all over the weekend! However, I was pretty active lugging boxes, etc. for my garage sale so it's not like I sat on my butt all weekend either. :D

I seem to have an easier time fitting my cardio in than my weightlifting and toning. Anyone else have this problem? Do you alternate days or try to do them both on the same day?
 
I was able to get my 30 min. on the treadmill and 25 crunches this morning (I can't do more cruches than that at one time yet), I just finished the 20 min. Pilates routine and will try to get 25 more crunches in this evening.

Everybody is doing great with all the exercises. That is an important part of changing our lifestyle. It would be easier to just do nothing, but don't we all feel better after a good workout?:D
 
Ok. I kept my promise. I just did the 3 mile WATP tape. Well, at least most of it. :p I wimped out a little bit on some of the weights and knee lifts, but I kept moving and doing something during all of it. I can tell it's been a few days since I've done the 3 mile. Wow, But it felt good and I'm glad I did it.

DD and I did a 2-mile walk this evening:teeth:

It was cold and it rained on us but we did it! And now our cheeks have a rosy glow to them LOL
 
Just did my treadmill for 20 minutes did a little over a mile. Getting ready to do my 25 crunches :rolleyes: . Any exercise is better than none :p .

I have a Pilates tape that I haven't done or even looked at yet. Has anyone had any success with them?
 
Yes I did!! I walked 3 miles today!! Tomorrow I have to time myself though, since I forgot today! :p

I did another mile tonight, just glad that I am getting back in the swing!!

Kim, I have the Mari Winsor Pilates tapes and I really like them. I just have to lock the puppy upstairs to be able to do them alone! :)

Olga, I did my 50 yesterday, so today I need to give them a rest. I only started crunches last week, so my body isn't quite used to them yet.
 
Woo-hoo! Love the exercises that everyone is doing!!

Yesterday I went rollerblading for just under an hour, did my 50 minute pilates tape (wow, my tummy is feeling great!) lunges and squats to work my thighs and bottom and then walking last night (with some rollerblade practice after w/ Ross since he just got his very first pair of rollerblades ever!!!) :) Hee hee!
