Congrats and Welcome Home, the flexibility of DVC is the best reason to go with it over other vacation home/time share set ups. Only bad thing is that there is a finite time limit to the points. No one can say what will happen to current members when their points expire. The value of using the points is made up in just about three years for me.
DW and I have time shares in Key West and St. John, USVI, but use them much more infrequently than we do our Disney points.
