I know this can be such a big accomplishment but I totally agree with you that he will probably love it when he gets there and will probably start helping you plan your next trip back the day you leave! Congratulations and have a wonderful time planning this one!

Oh he is going to have so much fun. My DH went last year for the very first time and he was 51. He liked it so much he ask to go again this year. Now He knows I really love it there so I don't know if he is just going for me or not. But I am going to think he is going because he was to.

OMG! I totally know how you feel. My DH had never been to WDW even though he lived in FL when he was younger. Anyway, after we got married, my parents planned a "family" trip to to WDW and we have gone back almost every year since, sometimes twice a year. He is totally hooked now, but of course he says we go so often now for the kids....

Now after you get him hooked, you can gently steer him over to the Disney Vacation Club booth. "Oh my, what do we have here..."

You will both have so much fun! It has changed soooo much since he was last there in the 80s. I remember for my honeymoon I wanted to go there so much but I didn't push because he let me pick the rest of the wedding stuff. He had never been before and didn't think he would like it.... as much as I tried to convince him. Well a couple of years later baby in tow we were walking across Downtown Disney to go see Cirque and he stops and says. We really should have come here for our honeymoon and that he never was able to picture all that I told him and that he could not believe how massive WDW is. He wanted to do all of the things he saw all around DD on the way to Cirque that we wouldn't do with the baby. I hope you two have the best time!!
