Okay, I did it!

We will be in MK on 11/10 and 11/11. Didn't even realize that MVMCP was happening, wasn't very excited about it when I heard (what? what do you mean the park closes early???) But I looked at the site, read the reviews here, and did it!

Load off my mind. Funny how I got an ADR for dinner at the Plaza at 5:35 a few months ago and they never said a word. If I hadn't found out about the party and purchased tickets we would probably be escorted to the exit after dinner :lmao:

I don't particularly want to see snow (we get enough of that up here believe me) but can't wait to see the parades, the shows, and the castle all lit up!

We are planning one of those nights too. Which night are you going? I have to call soon. Have a great time.

We decided to do MVMCP on 11/10 - got the tickets, since there will be at least 2-3 other families going with us. Looking forward to feeling the Chistmas spirit minus the cold temps! ;) Enjoy!!!

Have fun at your very first MVMCP!! I remember the first time I bought tickets a few years ago. I was so excited when they came in the mail. Unfortunately, it poured like crazy the whole day of the party and we exchanged our tickets for another night. There was still a little rain that night, but it ended fairly early in the evening and we had so much fun at the party. I went again the following year too! Last year we decided not to do it since we had already done it twice and we didn't want to spend all that extra money. I am lucky to be going to WDW again this Christmas and we have also decided to skip the party. I would definitely recommend going to the party at least once because it is something new.

Remember, the lights on the castle are lit every night - not just during MVMCP. Also, they show Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas during the day (at least they did last year when I was there Dec. 12-16)! I also believe the Christmas Parade runs nightly after the last MVMCP date.

We are going on Nov 10, can't wait. It is our first MVMCP!!

Good choice on buying the tickets! Have a great time!

I've moved this thread to the Doing the Happy Dance! board. Have a great time! :)

We went last year for the first time. The night we picked was a "sold out" night, so we were worried it would be horribly crowded. But it was great! We had no problem seeing the parade. There was plenty of hot chocolate and cookies any time we wanted it. Shows were wonderful and we could see fine, even very far back. The Fireworks were so magical, I almost cried.
Have great fun!
