I Cut My Hair! I'm getting [Dread] Locs! UPDATED - Pg 39!

So why was posting this pic a two day event... Computer issues etc. Arrrrgggh! Anyway Glenda, you know we talked and I told you I was now chemical free too. Not getting it loced. Just leaving it free and wild like it grows. This is my hair hair after I took my 2 strand twist out. There's no product at all in it and it definitely isn't combed. I'm tired of high maintenance... I have 3 girls!!! It's enough for me to deal with all that hair. Mine will just have to be happy the way it is. O.k. so the plan was to leave my twist in for two weeks but between me and my husband playing in it, I couldn't keep them up. When I do them over, I'll post a pic. I like them to look more organic and less fussy so I mess them up when I put them in, that way they resemble locs without me having to commit.

Hey DISers! This month I have done what is always advised against when growing locs, I used wax. I needed more hold so I went to the dark side! I did try to find one with natural ingredients. So I picked this:

It says "Honey Wax" which probably the same as beeswax. The first ingredient listed is Honey, then other natural oils. It's advised to NOT use wax because it causes build-up, and doesn't totally rinse out of your hair. Also it can coat your hair folicles and slow growth. So I just did an Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) rinse when I washed my hair to make sure I got it all out. I didn't see any traces left, so I guess it worked.

Everyday I use a spritz of water and Aloe gel. Well, the Wal-Mart near me stopped carrying the Aloe. So I'll have to look for it somewhere else. Hopefully I can find it, because the green Aloe does not fully dissolve in the water.

When I decided to Loc my hair, I was concerned that I wouldn't look right when I got dressed up, but as you can see, I look just fine!

Oooooh! I love the curios! Your Disney stuff is too cute and the Royal Albert Old Country Roses is a favorite of mine too. The only thing that stopped me from collecting that china is that I already have a set and DH would kill me if I collected yet another pattern, but I was soooo tempted. Thank you! I wish the pic with my Mother turned out better. I thought her pic would look really nice there since the frame had a floral design on it, AND she was standing in her garden. I love it!

I do not run into my Ex. I guess it is a common fantasy for someone's ex to see them and regret it's over! But sadly, I dont think that's the case with him.

Hey Ree Ree! I think spritzing my hair daily, and the monthly ACV rinse, will help keep the link out.
