It is Coronado Springs at the Pepper Market. It's not bad especially for being a QS meal, but it's not super amazing or anything.

Hubby had this last November at Pepper Market. Not.impressed.at.all. Although the steaks are supposedly cooked to order while you wait, he requested rare and it was fully done (not a bit of pink to it) and tough as shoe leather. Might as well have been a bad hamburger. The "grilled" veggies are not actually grilled, they're sitting in a big warming pot so they're more like stewed veggies. Was not worth a CS credit...having an actual burger would have been better actually.

Unless you're staying at CSR, I would not make a special trip to eat there. The rest of the food at Pepper Market was equally underwhelming. And the service was mediocre (although it is CS, you go around and order your food, but a server brings your beverage and supposedly clears your plates and brings refills. Didn't happen for us until we were ready to go.)

Any CS option is better than that "steak" imo. We requested it rare, nope, it was brown, brown, doo doo brown and tasted much the same. Seriously, it was just an inferior cut of meat with lots of fat and gristle.

Instead of assuming that steak is the ultimate when considering a QS meal, just go for well-prepared and creative food. I think the best food would be at WPE. I would rather have their great food than a sub-par steak any day of the week. I would recommend going over to review post on allearsnet and looking for who has the BEST QS foods.

We ate lunch at the Pepper Market at CSR twice on our trip about 2 weeks ago (April 30th-May 8th). The steak that is on the lunch menu is no longer the one over at the grill station with veggies and fries. The only lunch steak they have is the Mexican one over at the Mexican station. It is more like a skirt steak and comes covered with red sauce with black beans, rice, and jalapenos, sour cream, and guacamole on the side. It was just OK--not really a good cut. However, we ordered it medium rare and it did come out that way, so didn't have a problem with the way it was cooked. The second time we got chicken nachos and 1/2 rotisserie chicken with grilled veggies and fries. Those nachos were huge and were very good (better than the steak). They also came with jalapenos and guacamole on the side. We like their desserts--strawberry cake, oreo cake, fruit tarts, blueberry cheesecake, and flan. When I was there this past Dec I also got a very good made to order burrito.

I have to agree with PP. If you're not going to be at the CSR, it's really not worth going there just for a QS meal. Plus they have a lot more yummy foods there than steak. We had their wings (which I don't see on the menu anymore) and the nachos-YUM.

Agree CSR not worth going out of your way for. They had the worst food on our trip. And their resort was no winner either. But room temperature chicken wings that had definitely been sitting all day.

2) After all, "Steak and Shake" has steakburgers.
3) I would not call it a steak dinner (as a hamburger it is OK).
4) For a QS meal, there really is no satisfactory "steak".
5) If you want steak, buy a steak at a TS eatery.
