I'm so proud of myself! I'm usually the nice one that never says anything....heck I don't even send food back when its bad. But we went in Wal-Mart and myself, one of John-Cole's old teachers and one of the ladies that her son plays ball with John-Cole were all looking at the clearance toys. Well there are these ladies with buggies full of toys! We are like okay whats going on?? And someone says that the Porcelain Dolls are $3 dollars and the Tyco Tony Hawk and Travis Pastrana remote control toys that were $60 before Christmas were $5. There were more toys that were just too cheap to believe. So the three of us got a few of each thing and took it to the lady that worked there with the little electronic price changer/thingy. The lady that worked there told all 3 of us that the dolls were $15 and the Tyco things were $50! So we got really upset and went to the manager. Well he stood at the register and watched the group of ladies check out and get the dolls for $3 and the other toys for the super cheap prices. He told the three of us to come with him to toys and point out the lady that told us the prices. Well to make an already long story short......the lady that worked at Wal-Mart had the electronic prices and had marked down tons and tons of toys for HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!! They ended up arresting her....come to find out the family and friends had taken over 16 buggies worth of toys out of the store already!! The correct prices were $15 and $50 so you can imagine how much was lost!!

Anyway the manager gave us the remainder of the Porcelain Dolls for $3 and gave us the prices on the other things too and thanked us for catching them. I don't know what will happen to the family......or if it will all fall on the employee doing it.

What an interesting day...lol!

Wow!...You'd think the cashier that rang them up would have thought something was up! I'm glad you helped catch this person.

Wow!! You I know that there are alot of people that do that type of thing. I say Good for you!! :D

Wow! Glad you were able to help them catch her at this. What a stupid thing for her to do. Did she think she wouldn't get caught?

 Whoa! I wonder how often that stuff actually happens! Probably more than we'd like to know!

They definatly thought they wouldn't get caught! They had already taken buggy loads out the door! All I was thinking was WOW PORCELAIN DOLLS FOR $3 DOLLARS!! Lol!! I don't know about yall but most of the people here that work at Wal-Mart could care less and half the time they don't pay attention to what they are ringing up. The lady had done it to where they all rang up cheap, or else had told the cashier that...I don't know how those hand held pricers work but she was pricing the things with it.

That why I said I know it happens all the time. The cashiers don't pay attention. I have gotten home and realized somethings were the wrong price or not even rung up.

Holycow! Good for you for complaining!...That is so awful that people are so dishonest!...

Something like that happened here a few months ago. The clerk was working with the cashier. They think they made off with over $10,000 before they were caught. Seems the clerk had done this with several retail chains in other states before. She'd give a kick back to the cashier. She would sell the stuff on the street and flea markets.

Don,

I saw that happen when I was payroll manager for about 17 McDonalds Stores. One of the managers at a store in North Mississippi would open up the back on the store after hours and they would literally back a truck up and load it with frozen food which they would then sell on the streets. I had been in payroll for a little over a year when this happend, the scary thing though is this manager had worked for the company for almost 20 years. Can you even imagine!

yikes!!! Good for you for reporting this. I've been in retail for over 25 years, and unfortunately internal theft is one of the highest percentages of a store's shrinkage

The hand held pricers are a mini-computer and you can put in ANY price you WANT! As long as you have a 3 digit code to put in it, to put in the price you want. This is usually done by a manager, using his own code. Publix has these, and usually the employees that do this are responsible. It does, however come up on a computer report at the end of the week.:o

Good for you!! You started the New Year off with a good deed.:D
