OMG now I'm really excitied........:goodvibes :goodvibes It looks better than I thought. Thanks for posting DisneyJo :thumbsup2
You can get a Contemporary one and a monorail one too, complete with track and I think they all link together. We'll complete the set on the next trip. Even if they're too old I'll get it for my future grandchildren :rotfl2:
I think it's going to be the only toy I let them have in the "grown-ups" room so I can play with it when they go to bed!

The lady who posted the photos had the monorail but it broke so Disney sent her a replacement but accidently sent her the castle, when she phoned them they said she could keep it and they'd also send out a new monorail :thumbsup2

Hi Michelle :flower3:
S'not a dumb question. It's a replica castle playset with all the major princess figures (and their prince) with a small cinderella carriage and a few misc bits. Apparently it plays a couple of tunes and you can press a button and fireworks go off outside one of the windows :confused3
It was $69. Only available in WDW shops (or occasionally on ebay for a premium).

Thanks Joanne :flower3: .How did you get it home? It looks so lovely,i know my 3yr old would love it-she will be 4yrs when we go next year.x.

How we got it home, it's quite a long story.....get comfy:surfweb:
The day before we came home and I went to the DTD virgin checkin desk and spoke to a VA staff member and said I had bought a present for a friend and that we were under our handluggage allowance so could I take it on :guilty: I didn't declare what it was or how big it was - she then told me that the flight had 80ish available seats - this made my mind up - I ran down to World of Disney and I bought it! The next day we checked in at DTD but we left it in the car :guilty: and didn't declare it as hand luggage. As I was leaving I told the checkin staff I had bought a present for a friend that I needed to wrap, did they have anything that could help me - she gave me a huge VA branded heavy duty clear plastic bag, lots of official VA tape and a huge address label.
I went back to the car and I wrapped it. It looked like it had been through the official check-in.
DH boarded the plane with it - this box is huge! The cabin staff were pretty miffed, there was no cupboard big enough on the aircraft to hold it for take off so they had to decommission a loo for take off and gave it it's own seat for the rest of the flight.
She better like it!

I took my one apart - took it out of the box and flatpacked it. All the smaller bits packed in shoes etc and the castle itself opened out and got wrapped in clothes etc. We have to leave the polystyrene behind though :)

Your DD will love it I am sure :lovestruc

:rotfl2: that is a great story !

OMG I love that!!!! And only $69, that's so cheap! I wish I hadn't seen that because i'm going to have to bring one back now in February and Phil is going to kill me!!! :rotfl2:

I might take BRobson's cue and flat pack mine also...wouldn't want to deprive my fellow travellers of a toilet ;) :lmao:

could you get it shipped back I wonder

it is so lovely, I am sure she is going to love it, great story about how you got it home

could you get it shipped back I wonder

In October the shipping through Disney was about $120 - almost double the item cost. There are other external shipping companies, I'm not sure if they are cheaper. I went to get a quote from one next door to the Publix in the Formosa Gardens area but it was closed.

Right, in what shop would i find a monorail, and would it fit in a suitcase?? I LOVE monorails! We bought my dad the die cast monorail, and I kind of want to steal it
