I Can't Wait!!!!!!!!! New DVC Memeber

I am a new DVC Member (Saratoga Springs) and we are coming down in June 2009.
We are Disney fanatics and have been to the parks several times, but we can't wait to check out the new digs.
What are some of the things that will surprise us when we get there.
Any inside tips that were'nt covered when we purchased the points?
We usually have stayed at the moderate resorts and are really looking forward to the nicer ammenities.

welcome home neighbor! Where are you staying in June and what kind of accommodation? The main thing for me pre/post DVC is how spoiled I am now! The thought of staying in a "normal" hotel room just makes me cringe! hahahahaha

Yep, even if you are staying in a studio, you will find it hard to go back to a regular hotel room, even at one of the deluxes. When we were staying at the WL in a regular room a few years back, I was wishing we were in a DVC studio at any resort.

You will love SSR. It is quieter then other resorts and the proximity to DTD is not to be overlooked. Just hop on a boat, take a 10 minute scenic cruise and your in the heart of Disneys Food and Shopping District. The Spa at SSR is a wonderful addition to the resort. Another plus is the different lodging locations. You can choose the Grandstand area if you want to be the first people on the bus or you can choose Congress Park to have a wonderful view of the DTD area. Everyone says that it takes too long to walk around to different areas of the resort but it is a very scenic stroll that is not to be missed. You have truly chosen the best resort in Disneyworld.
