I can't stand the wait......

When I first booked I was over 350 days out - now I am closer to the double digit dance - (only 5 more days until I can start the 99 day countdown.) Sometimes it seems like it is taking forever and then sometimes I think - I need to really crack down and diet more seriously (yeah right) and then I don't seem to have enough time. I am already putting money away for the next cruise and thinking the same time next year. I was talking to a friend the other day who did the 4 day wonder over New Year's last year and their family has decided that cruising is the only way to go and are off again the same time we are over the Thanksgiving holiday. I hope DH feels the same way since I am going to try talking him into Alaska next summer ::yes:: The waiting is hard but I am not looking forward to it being over either.

I think it gets worse the closer you get! The last couple of weeks seem to DRAAGGGGG on!! :earseek:

IS IT HERE YET!! :hyper:

I can't wait, but at the same time I get panicky moments. Like "what if the ship sinks". "what am I getting myself into" . (I never did see Titanic and I don't plan to!) Then I just get back on these boards and read everything again and then I just can't wait again! Do you ever get panicky?

I'm almost in single digits and I can hardly wait. It is hard to think about anything else! I announced to my family today that I was going to watch the Disney Cruise video once a day for the next 10 days (until we leave)! They just rolled their eyes at me.

What good news to hear that I am not the only nut out there begging and praying for my cruise to come sooner. I purposely booked mine at the end of January 05 because then I have something to look forward to after Christmas ends. Every Christmas, once the presents are opened...the day is boring...just the same feeling when you get when you come off the Disney cruise. I must admit, that I have recently become addicted to this board. I come home from work for lunch and instead of eating, I sign on and read. Everyone has been so helpful on so many different subjects. Thanks all and keep up the threads!!!! :bounce:

I am on my second time reading the Passporter and I also come home at lunch and hit these boards. (I eat my lunch though!) My DH & DS aren't nearly as excited as I am, but my DS does hover around when I am on here and he will look at pictures when I come across them on your trip reports!:)

I'm in the same boat (LOL) here! I'm the Mom of the house and I think I'm WAAAY more excited than anyone here, including the kids.

I cry every time I hear "When You Wish Upon a Star" -- I'm sure I"ll be blubbering all over the place when we first see the ship, when we board, when we see the shows......

Oh, I'm already tearing up -- help!

Kris - You're a riot! Glad you are feeling better about the sailing!

In the afternoon my 3 yr old daughter and I 'cruise' the boards looking at pictures (she has actually mastered using the mouse to open links to pictures!). She is getting so excited and I can't help but follow suit...

Look how long I have to wait! It's driving me crazy!

I also cry when I hear "When You Wish Upon a Star"!

I love the Dis boards, also.

Hey Mrs. Gottis!

My 3rd daughter was 3 years old when we went on our first cruise. She is almost 13 now and still remembers it. She was (and still is) a picky picky eater and she remembers distinctly how our waiter knew that she loved pasta (butter only, no sauce) and he would bring her a bowl every dinner. Then he would stand behind her and cut it up for her! It was so so cute!

We were on the Big Red Boat in its heyday.
