I can't figure out why??????

I just got in from work. Right in front of my salon at 4pm myself and all the cutomers hear a big crash and ran out. A van hit a car, a small car head on. I ran into the salon and called police and they were there in a matter of seconds. the guy in the small car that got the impact from the van was definetly dazed and bleeding. the guy never came out of the van but someone saw him hiding beer cans under his front seat of the van. Cops saw them, had him get out of the van, tried to see if he could wake the line and he couldn't even get close to it so they arrested him. My thoughts on this, the one that got arrested was about 45 or a little older, this was at 4pm. Why do people do that, cause they are idiots. Ruin the rest of my day I am sitting in and hoping the poor guy they went in the ambulance it ok.

Being the daughter of an alchoholic..who has been sober now since 1987...it is hard to hear stories such as yours. I have to be thankful that my Dad usually drank at home, but there were times...bowling night...that he would drive drunk. Matter of fact, being arrested, put in jail, and doing lockdown for a weekend, turned him around. It is an addiction. They don't realize HOW bad it is. Is that man really an idiot?? I don't know. He could be. He could also be a scholar. Alchoholism affects every level of society. I am by NO MEANS trying to say that this accident was okay. It was not, and could have been prevented, that is for sure. I am sorry that it ruined your day. I hope that the man in the car will be okay and I also hope that the man in the van gets the help that he needs as well.

Hopefully it will wake up the guy that was driving the van. I also hope the guy who was hit is okay. If I could irridicate one problem from this planet it would be alcoholisim. They just don't understand what they are doing to themselves or to others.

My best friend, Theresa, was killed over 2 years ago by someone driving drunk. She left behind a 13 year old daughter. The drunk driver was just recently sentenced. He got 12 to 24 months. What does that even mean?
It has left a huge gap in my life, in her daughters life, her sister's lives, her father's life. All because this guy had to get behind the wheel. WHEN are people going to learn?
I hope this guy wasn't injured too severely, and I hope the driver doesn't continue to drink and drive.

My father was alcoholic. Being put in jail didn't stop him at all, sadly. I hope this man gets help, now.

I hope the man in the small car wasn't seriously injured.
