I can't decide between AKL and WL! Help me chose please.

My DH2B and I are needing to make our ressies for next January.... yes January 2006, so we can save our wedding date. The only thing is I can't chose between AKL and WL. Which do you think would be more romantic for a honeymoon? Also we would have a photo session done at the resort we're staying at, and I'm thinking WL would have better scenery for photos. What do you think?

I guess it just depends on your personal preference for pictures. I think both places will have great options for photos. If you're really in to animals I'd go with AK. There are many vantage points where you could pose with the animals visible behind you. If you want a more traditional look, you might want WL as you could go down to the lake and have a beach/water background. I'm not sure if you can choose the time of your photo session but if you could choose night, you might be able to have MK fireworks in the picture. Hope that helps.

I've stayed at both resorts and you really can't go wrong with either of them. I do think that for scenic pictures you would probably have more options at WL. I just got back from a December trip and I took soooooo many pictures of just the grounds and resort. I do love AKL and it is my favorite, but for what you're wanting, my bet is on WL. Have a wonderful time no matter where you stay!!!

Granted I've never been to WL, but I think wedding pictures at AKL would be beautiful.. they would have such an exotic feel to them.

When we were there this past December at the WL for the MVMCP to our surprise they had a couple taking their wedding pictures. The scenery there is beautiful. I would go for the WL hands down!!

For the pictures I would choose WL, but for any other reason I would choose AKL. You can always take your pictures at WL and stay at AKL. There are a lot of WL lovers and a lot of AKL lovers on this board, so I am sure you will get a mix of opinions. Have fun planning!!

I have stayed at both WL and AKL, and I they both have "romantic" qualities. I think either would provide a perfect backdrop for some gorgeous wedding photos. WL is cozy, cabiney, let's just stay under the covers. AKL is exotic, mysterious, let's just stay under the covers. Since you'll likely be staying under the covers plenty on your honeymoon, either would do. My personal nod would go to AKL, as I would pick exotic over cozy any day.

I also saw the wedding pictures being taken at the WL in December. You could tell the background in those pictures will be gorgeous.
Soooooooo, my vote goes to the WL.
