I can't believe what I just did!!!

I just booked a quick weekend trip...for this weekend!!! Fathers Day has been tough for my DH since losing his dad a few years ago. He has been showing me pictures of all the 60th stuff and was hoping it was all there in October, when we were planning to go. So, I called his boss, got Friday and Monday off for him and book a flight and hotel!

So excited!!!!!!! I had to tell someone!

I told my daughter (who said she was so excited she almost peed her pants!) and we decided to ask him what he wanted to do this weekend. Because we know him well, we knew he would say "I don't know." Then my daughter gave some suggestions: bowling, mini-golf, hiking, go on Splash Mountain (his favorite!). He laughed because she has been begging to go and he said, "Well of those choices, ride Splash Mountain!" Then I said, "Oh good! I just bought tickets for this weekend!" He stared at me for a long time and said, "Seriously?" My daughter yelled, "Happy Fathers Day!"

We are all so excited! I am usually such a planner that it totally surprised him!
