Now, I have been obsessing about the heat in August. I know it will be hot but does anyone know how long we will be outside for a ceremony at SBP? I know that DF and I will be outside longer for pictures but what about family? Are there times that they might be able to go inside to get relief from the heat? Just worrying! I guess it is part of my obsessive personality!

One more question about flower preservation....I am thinking I want this done. Has anyone done it and if so, do I have to send it away from Disney or do they pick it up?

Well...some upsetting news to share....my sister has just told us all that she may be moving to NC. That is not so bad in itself (she will be moving to the coast) but the kids will start school the week before the wedding which will make it hard for them to come to Disney. She has assured me that she will be at the wedding BUT I was really looking forward to spending the entire week with them. I know I should be happy with what I get but I will be sad. I do understand how important school is especially the first week in a new school with new kids. What do you all think? Am I being too much of a baby?

You're not being a baby. I completely understand being upset. I have two sisters with children and I would be so sad if they couldnt come to my wedding or had to shorten the trip. But it'll still be ok! You'll have a wonderful wedding and just think, then you can start planning a return trip to Disney so that EVERYONE can come for the whole trip! Finally, you aren't being a baby. It would be so fun to spend time with neices at WDW. (I know if I had neices I would go broke down there with them. ) At least they will be there, even if it is only for a couple of days.

I was really looking forward to spending time with all 5 of my nieces and nephews. We made ADRs for character dinings and for fantasmic and I was excited to see their reactions to everything. As I said, at least I knowthey will be there for the wedding---the most important part. I am hoping that they can be there for more...but that will just be the icing on the cake.

Hi! I have been MIA lately with updating my thread. Work has been crazy to say the least but thank goodness we only have four weeks left! I will leave one person and come back to my students a new person!

Well...some good news and some bad news.

Bad news first: First my oldest sister and her family have announced that they will be moving from Albany(NY) to Wilmington, North Carolina. We are all very sad that they will now be 11 hours away. I was worried that because of the difference in school schedules from NY to NC that they wouldnt be able to come to the wedding. My sister has reassured me(and my hysterical niece) that they will be there no matter what.

Second, my step sister called me last week and told me that she wont be able to make the Disney wedding because she is being sent to China for two weeks from work. She has tried to get out of it but cant. She promised to be a the reception in October.

Now on to the better news: I have my shoes. I picked them up last week. I really like them but after reading a thread about Sea Breeze Point and having heels stuck in the cracks in the Boardwalk, I am now considering finding thicker heals.

Another thing that has been done is getting the invitations. I work with a woman who has her own business ordering all sorts of invitations and favors and such. So she was so kind and did it for us at cost. Here it is.

We did the wording ourselves because DF doesn't have contact with his family and my family is split. Also, we added a quote from a Dave Matthews Band song as they are our favorite band.
Today I went to Michaels and found tshirts on sale so I loaded up with enough for those coming to Disney. I also bought white bags and will add an image. Here is one image I was thinking of using on a trial bag.(as you can see I had trouble ironing the image on this first bag)

I got it wet by accidentaly pushing the steam button and the edges are starting to come off. But...that was my practice, my second one came out better.

I am thinking of using all three images and putting a different image for each family so they are not all the same.

Last week was a big week for me. On Thursday I was given a surprise shower from work. It was under the guise of a union meeting. I totally fell for it because we have no contract and things are pretty bad so I thought it was an emergency meeting before the last day of school. It was very nice. Everyone was there...including my principal. It was Mickey themed. I got lots of great things including my glasses(which I LOVE), our AWESOME coffeemaker, Disney Dollars, and a Precious Moments Bride and Groom with Mickey ears. Here are some pics:

On Saturday my sisters, my mom and my nieces threw me my shower. It was not a surprise...well not all of it. It was at a cute little tea shop. We had afternoon tea. Again, I got lots of great things. Almost all of the things on my registry. My brother in law made cute little tea pot cakes. A friend made a towel cake with Mickey and Minnie and the favors were white chocolate castle lollipops.
I have a few pics but hopefully will get more soon.

Now, tomorrow is the last day of school so I will be able to focus on all the rest of the details for the wedding. Today, I made a flat Stanly with Mickey Ears to take to Disney. For those who do not know who flat Stanly is, he is from a childrens book. He takes lots of adventures and has his picture taken. I am taking him to Disney.

Its a bummer your family is moving far..its nice that your sis is still letting them go to WDW..thats really sweet...some people really hate to miss that 1st week...but im sure they'll be just fine & thanks to the internet..they really wont be that far away

My DBIL is very talented in cake making. He actually had made the teapot cake before when my nieces had a tea party with their friends. So cute.
