I won an eBay auction for a "mystery scrapbooking tote".

Since you can't technically sell "grab bags" on ebay, the seller has you bid on a box, envelope, etc. and whatever comes inside is "free".

Ok, so I found this auction where the seller is selling a rolling scrapping tote (like a Navigator) filled with scrap stuff. I know that there is a Sidekick, a CIS Paper Taker (filled with paper), several Sidekick dies, stickers, embellishments, and pens in it. The rest is still a mystery. But I do know that it is going to be overflowing with stuff (the seller has 100% positive feedback and all of the buyers say that her "mystery" auctions are incredible!).

What is a mystery to me is what in the #&*% I was thinking when I paid $565!!! DO I EVEN HAVE $565? NO!!!!!!!! I have completely lost my mind!!!! Therefore, there will be no more scrap purchases for me for the next... well, who knows how long?!?!

So I think I have everyone beaten this month for outrageous scrap purchases.... :guilty:

Oh my! Think of all the goodies :) Although I do feel better about the 20.00 I spent at Creative Express today. (sorry had to say that) Have fun with your stuff. Let us know what all you got! :)

Let us know what the other goodies in the "bag" are!!!! thats a lot, but even with the few items listed, to pay full price for them is a lot (not that much-- but maybe some of the other things will add value). so now, my tip is DO NOT READ THE ENABLER POSTS!!!! ;)

Oh please post what you get. I'm hoping it was worth it for you cause it does sound kinda fun. But $565!! Can't wait to hear, cause like Patty, I may have to pack up some things and sell on e-bay!

Oh my! That is a lot of money! Wow! Do let us know what you receive, I am sure it will be something great!! :)

Consider it an early christmas present. It sounds like you got a lot of stuff though. Tubachicks right, stay off the enabler threads and ebay for a while.

Have fun using it all! I haven't touched my stuff since August.

I should be getting the package on Friday so I will be sure to post all of the goodies that I get.

Yeah, I will probably wind up eBaying some of the stuff, like the rolling tote itself. Since I have THREE rolling totes already, I don't think that I need another one. :teeth:

The worst part of this is that I didn't tell DH!!!! I bought it with my credit card (that I have in my name only that I personally pay for with no help from DH), so he can't really complain , but he can just shake his head disapprovingly, which to me is sometimes worse! :sad2:

I guess it is instances like these that makes a good argument for having separate credit cards so that we can each buy things that we want w/o a hassle from the spouse. Thank you Dr. Phil!

Faint!! What a gambler you are. Looking forward to hearing what is inside! :hourglass

OK, the "mystery tote" came today!!!! First of all, what a package! I saw the UPS guy coming up my driveway with this box... all I could see was the box and then the guy's legs. It turns out that the package weighed over 60 pounds!

I tore it open and couldn't believe all the stuff! It'll take a while to read all of this:

There was a rolling scrapbook tote (not CIS, but about the same size as the Navigator), a CIS Jr. scrapbook tote, a 12X12 CIS Paper Taker (FILLED with 12X12 paper), a CIS Paper Sticker Binder (FILLED with stickers), 2 Chatter Box Memory Building Boxes (which include 8X8 scrapbooks and all the stuff to complete them), 3 gorgeous 12X12 albums, 2 cute 8X8 albums, more PSB refills FILLED with stickers, a pair of pink and green Provo Craft scissors, a pink and green Provo Craft 12-inch paper trimmer, a Xyron 505 machine, a Sew Crafty little sewing machine (so now I can do the paper stitching stuff!) complete with tons of thread refills of all different colors and the idea book to go with it, a huge self-healing cutting mat, another plastic 12X12 envelope FILLED with paper a SIzzix Sidekick machine, 2 sets of Sizzlit dies (a snow set and a sea-life set), a large set of wooden alphabet stamps in a wooden box, a large miscellaneous set of wooden stamps (Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, etc) in a wooden box, several foam stamps, glitter and glitter paints, a plastic box FULL of embellishments (ribbon, fibers, buttons, charms, eyelets, flowers, page pebbles, etc.), lots and lots of Making Memories embellishments, a photo storage box, an entire set of pens, three pairs of decorative scissors, a HUGE McGill punch that makes three different sized tags, two packages of photo organizers (one is one of the new CK ones from Jo-Anns... a cute pink stripe!), several different adhesives, and a GORGEOUS silver and handmade glass bead necklace that the seller made herself (packaged in a beautiful silk bag).

There may be more in there because every pocket that I open on both the totes has more stuff crammed inside. While the amount I paid for it was a lot, I am pleased with the amount of stuff I got. It was like early Christmas in my house today! I will probably resell the totes (as I don't need another one), but will probably keep the rest.

Now I can leave for Disney World tomorrow a very happy woman knowing that I am coming home to some awesome scrap stuff!

Wow! Glad it wasn't filled with lots of junk! That would be fun to go through! Sounds like you are set for all kinds of scrapping! :flower:
