I can't believe my friend's in-laws!!!!

One of my best friends is expecting a month behind me (with twins!!!! ) and she and her DH and in-laws were talking about the delivery. My friend had decided she just wants it to be her and her DH, no one else, and no photos or video. Her in-laws got very upset, said in no uncertain terms that they WOULD be in there with them, they WOULD bring a camera, and that there was no way they could be kept out!!!!!!

I loved her DH's response, he is very good at sticking up for his wife. " If you can't comply with our wishes we will not call you until the baby is already home!"

He also works at the hospital in another dept. and told my friend that if they did come to the hosp. that he would see to it that everyone knew his parents were to be kept out during the delivery so she won't have to worry about them sneaking in. He's so good to her.

Some people are so unreasonable. I'd hope that the hospital would keep unwanted people away regardless of if anyone in the couple worked there or not. She's very lucky that her DH is so supportive. I'm a big believer that the spouse should deal with all in-law issues.

The nurses will not let in anyone you dont want in your room. All they have they have to do is tell the nurses not to let anyone in and they will not. My in-laws dont act badly but mil is extremely nosy and I didnt want her at my deliveries and the nurse assured me they wouldnt get in.
Its such a shame the in-laws are trying to ruin such a wonderful time.

I had both deliveries video taped but it was our personal choice and nobody else other than dh , myself and the doctor's and nurses were allowed in the OR.
I had a c-section both times!
Some people are unreal!!

The sad thing is they live 3 hours away! I wonder how they think that no one can stop them from being there?

This is what we get for watching that show on TLC (Maternity Ward?)!! Sometimes there's quite a CROWD for those deliveries!! EEEWWWW!! Dh and I were the only crowd I needed or wanted!!

Yikes! I shudder at the thought of my inlaws being anywhere near me when I had a baby - neither is the warm fuzzy type.

Oh my---we just HEARD this discussion during our Super bowl Party.....my niece is expecting her first baby,,,well her in-laws where talking abou being in the Delivery room,,,,,,my nieces DH said ,we talked about that and its just going to be ME AND BECKY....his mother (niece MIL) yells out from kitchen,,,well you just wait and see--with this nieces DH stands up and at the top of his lungs yells out--- YOU WERE'NT THERE WHEN HE WENT IN-YOU WILL NOT BE THERE WHEN HE COMES OUT--I fell off the chair laughing..not sure he ment to say it that way ,,but oh man what a riot that caused---I do hope your friends IL see how insensitive they are being,,,,that truely is a privite time.....she has a great DH !!!
